‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will soon learn the results of Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) autopsy.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sam Died From An Overdose Of Digitalis
The cause of death was a heart attack due to an overdose of digitalis. Once Dante finds out foul play was involved, you’d better believe he’ll be on the case.
Dante will want justice for Sam and may even break the rules to get it. Sam gave him and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) a family when they needed one the most.
Dante and Sam built a life together and had a blended family. They were ready to make it official when Dante proposed, and sadly, the happy couple’s elation was only momentary because the next day, Sam unexpectedly passed away.
Dante will be reeling once he discovers that someone deliberately killed his fiancée. Typically, Dante plays by the rules. He’s a cop. Law and order is his gig. Dante is an exceptional detective, and he’ll stop at nothing to find and punish the person responsible for Sam’s death.
After Kelly Monaco had taped her last scene at GH, her mother, Carmina Monaco, posted on social media that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) would put a fatal dose of digitalis in her IV bag.
Putting the absurdity to the side, it’s possible that in some demented and psychotic way, Cyrus was trying to make up for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) being in a coma for four years since he was the one who ordered Julian Jerome (William deVry) to plant a bomb at the Floating Rib, resulting in the explosion, and Lulu’s condition.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Dante Go To The Dark Side?
Cyrus may have thought Sam had to die so that Dante and Lulu could reunite. We all saw creepy Cyrus sitting by Lulu’s bedside at Turning Woods, making that ominous remark that he’d be there for her, just like he promised.
Cyrus may think that he can make amends by bringing Lulu’s family back together and that she’ll be thankful to him when she wakes up. Little does Cyrus know that Lulu’s already awake, and she’s frantically trying to get away from him.
There’s no doubt that Cyrus is guilty. He isn’t the changed man he claims he is. When Dante finds out, he’ll want to get justice for Sam and figure out the best way to make Cyrus pay.
Dante is supposedly nothing like his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He’s far from a cold-blooded killer, but Sam’s passing may allow him to understand why Sonny only kills to protect his family.
Dante would normally let the legal wheels of justice turn and fight for a killer to go to prison for a long time. However, in this instance, he may feel differently.
In pain and enraged, he may decide to shoot and kill Cyrus himself. Dante will be happy that Lulu is awake, but he’ll still be drowning in misery because of Sam and the loss of the family he had formed.
Dante may be more like his father than he knows. It’s not a far stretch to think that he’d go to extremes to avenge Sam’s death. Even if it meant he had to break the law to get justice.
