‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Drew Preyed On Willow’s Weakness
Willow’s complicated past with Shiloh and Dawn of Day has made her vulnerable to trusting the wrong people. It seemed she had found true love with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), but now that marriage is over,
Ever since her first kiss with Drew on July 4th, Willow has been naively falling for Drew, as he’s been manipulating her, clouding her judgment, and causing her to abandon her once solid moral fiber.
Drew actually believes he’s Willow’s knight in shining armor when he’s really a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Drew is old enough to be Willow’s father. Not only was he sleeping with her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), but he’s also Michael’s uncle.
He had no business preying on Willow’s weaknesses, going after a married woman with children, and breaking up a happy family.
That being said, Willow isn’t blameless, either. Willow’s questionable treatment of Michael has caused fans who once loved her and rooted for her and Michael to be sickened by her behavior.
Instead of working on her failing marriage, she left Port Charles with Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) to go traipsing off to Washington with Drew.
Willow isn’t the root of all evil here. Drew showed his true colors when he was in church with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), and instead of taking responsibility for his actions, he had the nerve to blame Carly for Michael’s condition.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Drew Isn’t Allowing Willow To Think For Herself
Drew stooped to the lowest of the low when he convinced Willow to use her medical proxy as leverage. She is using it to bargain with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly for access to Michael. Once she has her children, Michael’s family can see him.
When the subject was first broached, Willow was appalled at the idea of keeping Michael’s parents away from Michael. She balked at the idea.
Drew manipulates Willow and gets her to agree to it. When Sonny, Carly, and Willow were trying to come to a compromise, Drew wouldn’t shut the f**k up!
Drew acts like he’s giving Willow advice that’s in her best interests. Willow thought it was Drew who got the kids back. But it was Nina who bartered that deal with Sonny.
Nina is starting to see what Drew is up to. She even told Drew he had some sick hold over her daughter, and he was willing to take credit for something that he had nothing to do with.
Willow opened up to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and admitted she recognizes she has a pattern and a desire to be rescued.
She needs some therapy to heal from what happened to her years ago, which is clearly affecting her now.
Above all, Willow needs to see the truth about Drew sooner rather than later.
