‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers disclose that Laura Wright, who plays Carly Spencer on the soap, has hinted. There could be a shocking who shot Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). She revealed this in an Instagram post.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Drew Spit On Sam’s Memory

In a recent Instagram story, Wright praised Cameron Mathison’s recent scenes with Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis.

Drew recently informed Alexis that neither she nor the rest of Alexis’s family would be allowed to see Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinate).

Scout misses Danny Rocco and Sam

The scenes were super powerful as Drew revealed just how despicable he is by invoking the late Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) name, only to tell Alexis that what Sam wanted for her children didn’t matter since she’s dead.

He told Alexis that, as the only remaining parent in Scout’s life, he would make the decisions regarding her care, and apparently thinks that isolating her from her family is a bright idea.

Drew’s motivation is to basically keep Scout from anyone who tries to undermine him or question his poor choices.

He doesn’t seem to really care about what Scout wants, as he completely ignores the fact that Scout asked her brother, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), to take her from Lila’s camp and bring her to the Quartermaine mansion.

Danny and Scout are true brother and sister

Scout misses her family, but Drew is only concerned with what is good for him. It’s safe to say that Drew has become the most hated character in the soap.

While everyone despises Drew, he also brings a lot of juicy drama, and his treachery has inspired a passionate response from the legion of GH fans who are waiting to see him get his comeuppance.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Wright Mentioned Iconic Dallas Storyline

Drew and Alexis’s recent showdown at the Quartermaines impressed Wright, who has nothing but love for the actor who portrays Congressman Cutthroat.

    Wright exclaimed,

“These scenes were so good! Cameron, you’re the new J.R. Ewing! Haaa! Woo Hoo!”

Perhaps Wright is hinting at an upcoming Who Shot Drew murder mystery. Or maybe Drew simply pisses someone off so much that he gets shot but lives.

Wright was referring to the infamous 1980 storyline on the primetime soap, Dallas. J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) was a villainous character who really had it coming.

At the end of the third season, the show left off on an epic cliffhanger in which this massively hated character was shot in his office.

Fans were forced to wait all summer and wonder who shot J.R. and whether the oil business tycoon would survive.

The storyline Wright mentioned became a cultural phenomenon. It was possibly the most famous murder mystery ever played out in the history of soaps. Wright could be insinuating that GH may follow in the footsteps of the iconic Dallas storyline.

“Who done it” mysteries are popular in soaps. Days of Our Lives recently had its event. The dastardly EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was shot in his living room after pissing off most of Salem.

We can imagine a Who Shot Drew mystery brewing on GH with no shortage of potential suspects in Port Charles.

It may be a reason why Drew is making so many enemies in town and behaving so deplorably. Eventually, someone is bound to shoot this sleazy politician.
