‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers wonder if Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) is being fair to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) regarding baby Daisy Gilmore Corinthos (Levi Clark Coughlin).
General Hospital Spoilers: Sasha Still Intends To Raise Daisy By Herself
Sasha and Michael have agreed to a highly impractical arrangement regarding their daughter. She made it clear from the start her intention to raise Daisy independently.
Sasha has seen how much Michael adores Daisy. She knows what a dedicated father he is to his other children, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko).
We were impressed with Sasha’s desire to keep mum about the true paternity of her baby due to Michael’s custody feud with ex-wife Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
However, now that Michael has full custody of the kids (at least for the time being), everything has changed. While Sasha certainly isn’t ashamed to admit that Michael is the father of her child, her stance on single parenthood remains the same.
Michael currently has no custody rights, and his name does not appear on Daisy’s birth certificate. Michael has such a loving heart and respects Sasha’s wishes, but two people made this baby, not just Sasha.
Sasha has some concerns regarding the Corinthos and Quartermaine families. Yet, she’s living in the Quartermaine mansion, and we assume she’ll resume her role as the family cook at some point.
She also pretended that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was the father of her child prior to admitting on the witness stand during the custody case that Michael was the father.
Jason is not only a Quartermaine, he’s also a notorious hitman for the mob. He works for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who also happens to be Michael’s father.
General Hospital Spoilers: Sasha Pretended Jason Was The Father Of Her Baby
Again, we applauded Sasha’s decision to protect Michael’s custody case. However, we were puzzled as to why she would choose Jason, of all people, to pretend to be the father.
For that matter, she could have stuck to her original story. She first claimed she met a random stranger at a bar, and they hooked up.
Sasha was devastated to learn that her boyfriend, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), was really her first cousin. It would have been easy to understand if she drowned her sorrows in alcohol and engaged in a one-night stand.
Since everyone now knows that Michael is the father, it doesn’t make much sense for Sasha to continue this charade. Besides, it’s not like enemies of the Corinthos family will be deterred from coming after Daisy. Case in point: whoever is stalking the baby now.
Michael is the father and should be given equal rights to Daisy. It’s not really fair to deny Michael the opportunity to claim his own child.
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) should discuss with Sasha the possibility of making it legally official and convince her to add Michael’s name to the birth certificate.
If anyone can get through to Sasha, it’s Carly. She’s sympathetic to Sasha’s position but also knows better than anyone that Michael deserves the chance to be a hands-on father to Daisy.
We have a feeling it won’t be until Michael and Sasha secure a romantic reunion that Sasha will feel comfortable fully letting Michael in as Daisy’s father.
