‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may soon find out that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is not only working for the WSB, but she also has plans to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Joss Admitted Her Goal Is To Bring Down Sonny
In the July 2nd episode of GH, Joss admitted to her handler, Vaughn (Bryce Durfee), that her main goal as a WSB agent was to bust Sonny and dismantle his criminal empire.
Once again, one of Sonny’s children, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi), was almost killed for Sonny’s unethical choice of career.
Joss’s brother, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), was another victim of Sonny’s choice to remain in the mob. He was almost burned to death after a bomb exploded at Sonny’s penthouse. It’s understandable why Joss felt the need to rant.
The fire at Charlie’s bar was potentially the final straw for Joss. We’re not exactly sure what Joss plans to do to achieve her mission. However, Joss’s role in the WSB gives her some power in regard to “taking down the bad guys.”
Joss could potentially give Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) the goods on Sonny or secure proof that would ensure the kingpin’s takedown.
We all know that if Carly uncovers Joss’s secret, she’ll blast her sweetheart, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna). She will make him pay for recruiting her daughter for a dangerous job and lying to her about it.
Not to mention that Joss killed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), and Brennan helped her cover it up. Despite the fact that she killed him in self-defense, Carly will be livid that neither Jack nor Joss shared with her what went down.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny’s Role In The Mob Keeps Port Charles “Safe”
Carly has fallen hard for Jack, but she has no idea that he’s been grooming Joss (not yet, anyway). However, when Carly learns of Joss’s plan to put Sonny behind bars, she’ll unleash her fury on Joss.
When Michael formulated a plot to put the mob boss in prison, he hired Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Dex was supposed to obtain proof that Sonny was involved in illegal activities.
Carly will no doubt have the same reaction when she discovers the real reason why Joss decided to join the WSB.
Joss’s mom will explain to her that Sonny’s role in his mob organization places him in a unique position to keep Port Charles “safe” from nefarious villains like Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
Carly would also tell her that Sonny does everything in his power to protect his family. If she helps send him to prison, it will put their entire family in danger.
It’s extremely difficult to leave the mafia. Sonny and his right-hand man, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), have been discussing a potential exit strategy from the business for years.
However, it looks like he and Sidwell will soon be embroiled in a major mob war after Sidwell torched Charlie’s while Kristina was in it.
Carly won’t be happy with Joss for her plans to bring down her former stepfather. The fallout from Carly learning that Joss is in the WSB should be riveting to watch.
