Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, ‘General Hospital’ co-head writers Dan O’Connor and Chris Van Etten preview what’s in store for some of our favorite couples in Port Charles, including Nina Reeves (Cynthis Watros) and Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and more.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Here’s What Your Favorite Couples Can Expect For 2021
As far as Nina and Jasper are concerned, the scribes preview, “Jax has committed an unforgivable sin against Nina by keeping the truth about Nelle from her. Carly and Jax have committed to the lie, but secrets being exposed is always a possibility in Port Charles.”
Of course, you can’t talk about Nina Reeves without mentioning Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) name. For Valentin, “A request from Martin may put Valentin at odds with the Corinthos family, and with Alexis’s mounting legal issues, Valentin calls in a favor to help his former sister.”
For Ava and Nikolas, meanwhile, “They take steps to solidify a relationship that began on less-than-solid ground, but Ryan’s medical status will remain a looming issue in their lives.”
There’s also drama between Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). “Peter gets some dismaying news in the new year, and as a result, will set in motion a dreadful series of events,” O’Connor says.
