‘General Hospital’ spoilers pose the question: Does Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) know that she had twins? Lisel seems to really want to believe that Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevy) is Nathan West.
Agent Josslyn Jacks Has Been Snooping Up a Storm
After all, it’s difficult not to know that you gave birth to twins. Right now, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) appears to be the only one who knows that “Nathan” is really Cassius.
That said, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) apparently had no idea that she had twins: Crazy Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) and the seemingly even crazier Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).
The whole storyline with Nina not knowing she had twins never made much sense. Granted, she was in a coma for two decades, but it’s still incredibly far-fetched.
Agent Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is on the case. She definitely suspects something is up, but currently has no proof.
However, “Nathan” grabbed Joss by the arm in the May 1st episode of GH. Joss has made it nothing if not obvious that she’s on a fishing expedition.
She may be in some serious trouble, but it honestly serves her right for all her snooping, probing, questioning, and generally being a pest.
Liesl let her sister raise Nathan because she feared his father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). So, there is a strong possibility that Liesl wants to believe it’s Nathan, and not some imposter who’s taken over his life.
Of course, we also saw how Liesl reacted when Joss was asking questions about “Nathan.” She screamed at Joss that Nathan was a hero.
Liesl could well know that this man isn’t really Nathan. After Liesl had her run-in at the Metro Court with Joss, she made an odd comment to her son.
She told him how much James West (Gary James Fuller) needed him in his life. “Nathan” responded that he needed James, too.
There is Still No Explanation for “Nathan’s” Missing Seven Years
Liesl said, “Now you have your son. In the end, that’s all that matters.” It was an offhand comment that really stood out as being strange.
Maybe Liesl is so in denial about Nathan’s death that she’s convinced herself that James should think he has his father now and doesn’t want to rock the boat.
Liesl may be happy to have one son back, even if the one so beloved to so many is gone. Plus, there are still so many pieces of the puzzle to put together about Cassius’s missing seven years.
It’s foolish to think we have the full story here when we still know next to nothing about what exactly happened during those years. It’s a massive mystery that’s literally hanging in the air.
Also, Liesl looked visibly uncomfortable when James asked “Nathan” if he wished he had a brother. It was yet another strange, out-of-place question.
Maybe Faison raised Cassius and had no idea about Nathan. Whether Liesl knows more than she’s saying is yet to be determined, but we’re willing to bet that Cassius’s backstory is much more colorful and interesting than anyone knows right now.
Is it possible that Obrecht has some idea that “Nathan” isn’t really Nathan? Regardless, after today’s episode, it looks like Cassius’s true identity is about to be exposed. That is, if Joss lives to tell the tale.
