‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that in the December 18th episode of GH, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) gave Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) a Christmas gift.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: This Wouldn’t Be the First Time Carly Was Gifted a Bugged Necklace
The present was a stunning new necklace, and he placed it around her neck and fastened it. Carly is currently seeking revenge against Brennan for recruiting her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), into the WSB.
Of course, Carly pretended that she was thrilled with the present, but as soon as Carly took off the piece of jewelry, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) took notice of the bauble.
He immediately knew Jack had given her the necklace and mentioned it to Carly. Soaps don’t generally make mention of random pieces of jewelry unless it has sentimental meaning.
Quite often, there is some significance involved. We have to wonder if Brennan planted a bug in the necklace to spy on Carly.
Remember when Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) gave Carly an evil eye necklace that contained a bug? Franco didn’t trust Carly, so he decided to use the necklace to spy on her.
Carly has been scrambling to cover her tracks with Brennan, but he knows something is off with her. Carly has been acting distant and hasn’t spent much time with Jack since she found out that he lied to her and recruited Joss behind her back.
Brennan may suspect something is up, and being the head of a worldwide government spy organization, he could use his position of power to his advantage.
Not to mention, Jack knows there is a strong possibility that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) blabbed to Carly about Joss working for Brennan.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Carly and Valentin May Destroy Jack’s Career
Now, Jack threatened to put Jason’s love interest, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), in Steinmaur if Jason told Carly about Joss, but Jason still told Carly the truth.
Brennan would be foolish not to at least consider that Jason’s loyalty to Carly would lead him to spill the beans.
If Jack did bug the necklace, that means that Carly and Valentin’s plan to take down Brennan is significantly compromised.
Valentin may be right that if Jack suspects Carly is playing him, he wouldn’t be too pleased and would likely play her right back.
We have wondered whether Carly’s scheme to bring Brennan to justice would backfire. However, since it’s Carly, she’ll likely succeed in making Jack pay.
Whether Carly and Valentin find proof that Brennan has committed crimes or discover information that could destroy Jack’s career.
If Carly takes that necklace out of the box and decides to wear it for Brennan, Valentin may notice it contains a bug. After all, Valentin is a former WSB agent, and he would know if something was bugged.
If Valentin figures out that the necklace was bugged, he may be able to buy the two of them some time before the WSB shows up to take Valentin back to prison, and Carly would be in serious trouble for harboring a wanted fugitive. It could turn into a big mess.
Carly and Brennan playing a game of cat and mouse would be a very intriguing twist. While our money is on our girl, Carly, it would be great fun to watch Jack and Carly play each other. Let the games begin!
