‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) may have managed to survive “The Hook.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Liesl Could Have Kept Britt In A Coma To Save Her
With the fan-favorite actress returning to the soap, we have to wonder if she’ll reprise her role as Britt, or if she’ll be a long-lost twin, or simply a new character altogether.
If she’s playing Britt again, the show will need to explain how a very much dead Britt is still alive. She was struck by “the hook” and supposedly died from the poisonous cut she was injured from. No one could come back from that. Or could they? Hey, it is a soap, after all.
Britt passed away in her mother’s arms, and that’s the last we saw of Britt, or so we thought. Liesel Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) hasn’t really been on the show since around the time she donated bone marrow to a cancer-stricken Willow Tait (Kathleen MacMullen) and broke up with Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).
Perhaps Liesl is somewhere keeping Britt in hiding, as she may have ended up in a coma. Maybe she snuck Britt out of Port Charles to receive top-of-the-line treatment for her Huntington’s disease, which was already in steady progress when she left GH.
In the very last scene in which we actually see Britt, she is supposedly already dead and in the hospital morgue as her mother says a tearful goodbye. Perhaps the show left an opening for Britt to not really have passed on somehow.
Maybe her death was faked, and Liesl whisked her off somewhere. A brilliant and accomplished doctor like Liesl may have found a way to cure her Huntington’s disease.
After all, her wish to die alone was her sole reason for leaving town, especially after Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was presumed dead.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Britt Could Have A Long-Lost Twin
Another route the soap could take is that perhaps Britt has a long-lost twin, and after Liesl had to endure the heartbreaking demise of her daughter, she went off to find her.
The late Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) was Britt’s father, so the story could also be connected to him.
Now, for the fan theory that has everyone buzzing. Daniel Goddard, who plays Professor Henry Dalton, posted a message on social media stating that Professor Dalton’s mentor was Sir John Gurdon, a developmental biologist and Nobel Prize Winner who has been sometimes referred to as the “Godfather of cloning.”
Gurdon’s research in cloning and nuclear transplantation has clearly inspired the shady Professor, which makes us wonder if he’s also involved in cloning research himself.
Since the WSB is interested in his research, we know it’s something extremely valuable. However, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) has tasked Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) with helping to uncover the truth about Professor Dalton.
Britt saved Joss’s life, and it’s possible Joss will end up rescuing Britt. The theory is that Britt is somehow being used for research if her death was all staged.
Britt could have survived, but is being forced into being a test subject for Dalton. It’s a stretch, but remember Luke Spencer (Tony Geary). He saved the world from the Cassadine weather machine, so anything is possible.
Of course, Britt’s death could have been 100 percent real. Kelly Thiebaud could always play a new character. Potentially, one who hooks up with Jason.
