'General Hospital' Spoilers: Cassandra Pierce Changes Gears, Plots Next Move After Getting Ousted By Michael!

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers for Thursday, August 1st bring a change in plan for Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck), a mess at the Metro Court, Mom and daughter time for Laura Webber (Genie Francis) and Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan), bonding between Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan), and we have a winner. If you missed it, let’s catch you up on the action with a General Hospital breakdown.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Cassandra Pierce Changes Gears, Plots Next Move After Getting Ousted

Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) have a little alone time while Cassandra is making a call. Sasha ends up finding a gambling chip worth $25 and the pair decides to hit the slots rather than the water. Michael mentions that she can be guaranteed a win on the house, but she doesn’t wanna do that. She wants to put up a max of $100 and let the fates decide if she keeps it. He agrees, and points out that at least now she only has to put up $75.

Cassandra eventually returns a minute to invite them to breakfast the next morning. Sasha and Michael agree.

‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Change in plans

That phone call Cassandra made is partially because of seeing Michael and him thinking he’s seen her before. She says she’s been compromised and it’s time to move her again, although we don’t know who she’s talking to yet. But she’s not leaving until that breakfast meeting…

‘General Hospital’ spoilers: We have a winner

So, remember how Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) stupidly handed out the drinks, despite Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) asking her to wait? And how they now don’t know who got the serum? Yeah. Nina is paranoid it’s her, and begs Valentin to stick close just in case. Of course, that doesn’t stop her from giving Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) a little grief (again) over not being all in on the Ava Jerome (Maura West) cover. She was right and she wants to keep the stories coming. Jax is concerned, however, about glamourizing killers. She suggests doing a piece on Cassandra and offers to change the name of the feature, but they don’t get to settle anything.

It seems Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) is the lucky winner of the truth serum lotto. She’d been caught snooping by the help and seemed okay at first, but once she’s led back into the main room, she admits freely to snooping around and being caught. She’s trying to get Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) alone a minute when a call informs Finn he’s free to leave now, as the storm has passed. He looks totally relieved, and Jax appears grateful as well. He uses the possibility of the storm starting up again as an excuse to get while the getting’s good and suggests they do this again sometime.

Nina’s disappointed they didn’t get anything out of this, but Valentin begs to disagree. They now know they were trying to find something in the house.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Stuck

Also trapped today is Neil and Alexis—in an elevator. His behavior makes her think he’s claustrophobic, but he ends up admitting that isn’t the case.

His daughter died by her own hand five years ago, following a stint in a cult. He goes to karaoke and sings “Hush, Little Baby” (one of her favorites as a child) in honor of her. Wow. That must bring the house down. Do they even have songs like that on a karaoke playlist? She offers to be his audience, but he prefers doing that in a place where no one knows who he is. She sings the song anyway, but Neil doesn’t join in.

‘General Hospital’ spoilers: On the house

The storm is also affecting Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), whose restaurant is without power. She offers to comp the meal of everyone who already got their food, and those who haven’t. There are still cold options for a meal, as well as some booze to enjoy. Sonny thinks it will be expensive, but Carly doesn’t care, seeing as how Sonny stopped her from spying on Michael and Sasha by warning the employee she was grilling to not answer any further calls—in Spanish.

She has another issue, though. Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) is good at picking locks and took the initiative to break out some expensive booze and caviar. It seems Dev might be soon working at the warehouse instead.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Motherly advice

Also today, Laura is disturbed to drop by Lulu’s place and find her drunk. She decides to force some coffee on her drunk daughter and they talk over the divorce situation. She not exactly telling Lulu to give up on her marriage, but she does think Lulu should trust that her husband wouldn’t be asking for a divorce if he didn’t think it was for her better interest. She says that, should this be the end, there’s always hope for a second act. Laura got one with Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), after all, and she’s grateful for it.
