‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers: It seems as though the show is getting closer and closer to setting up the story everyone has been waiting for. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will finally learn about Michael Corinthos‘s (Chad Duell) betrayal.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Show May Be Setting Up Dex’s Exit
Many people wonder how this will happen, and we think we know. Recently, Brick discovered Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has an offshore account, which raised all kinds of suspicion.
Sonny may have Brick (Stephen A Smith) check Dex’s bank account and uncover Michael’s payment. This situation is exciting and troubling all at the same time.
The show may be laying the groundwork for Dex’s dramatic exit. Dex started as a character that was only supposed to be short-term, but Hofer impressed the powers that be, and they were inclined to give him a more extended stay.
With new writers coming in March, anything could happen. We are getting nervous that Dex will end up in the Pine Barrens.
On the other hand, it’s exciting because this is a storyline, we think will have a massive payoff in the end. Hopefully, that doesn’t mean the writers will sacrifice Dex in the name of a soap story.
So Sonny will likely have Brick check Dex’s bank account, and he will see Michael’s payment. Sonny already suspects Dex is the mole in his organization, and we think Sonny will believe the worst about Dex.
“I’ll make him beg for death” doesn’t exactly sound like Sonny will be in the mood to hear Dex out once he finds out about the payment. In this instance, Dex is innocent. He has only wanted to protect Sonny and his family.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Michael Wires Dex’s Payments Anonymously
Sure, way back when Dex and Michael were planning on setting Sonny up with the Feds, but Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) put a stop to it.
While Sonny has forgiven Michael for his role in knowing that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) betrayed him, he doesn’t yet know about Michael’s plan.
In a sense, Michael’s betrayal could be even worse since Michael was actually setting Sonny up to go to prison. Dex could be in danger if Michael doesn’t come clean soon.
Michael wires Dex’s payments anonymously, and checking Dex’s bank account could very well be Brick’s next step.
Recently, Michael asked Dex to investigate who the mole in Sonny’s organization is, and Dex agreed. Dex knows the risks if Sonny finds out he’s snooping around, but Michael is confident that Sonny will not find out about Dex.
Another very distant possibility is that maybe Brick is the mole, and he’s pointing the finger at Dex, trying to set him up to take the fall.
Brick has been loyal to Sonny for years, so there would have to be a reasonable explanation for the character to be the real threat Sonny should be concerned about.
If Sonny finds out that Michael is the one who paid Dex, this would at least give Sonny pause and consider that maybe there’s another reason if his son is involved.
Either way, Dex may be in big trouble. Let’s hope Michael opens his mouth in time so Sonny doesn’t go all Godfather on Dex.
