‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Josslyn isn’t too thrilled with her boyfriend, Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) work with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Josslyn thinks that the life she and Dex have together is similar to how Carly Spencer and Sonny Corinthos were together back when Carly called herself Mrs. Corinthos.
Joss was upset because Dex promised her they would go to a concert, but he had to work for Sonny instead. Joss says she wishes they had just turned Sonny into the feds while they had the chance. (Her endless tirade against Sonny has become difficult to watch).
Carly tried to set her straight a couple of months ago and explained to Joss and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that the family isn’t safe if Sonny goes to prison, but Joss is relentless.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Joss Goes to Carly for Advice
Joss goes directly to her mother, and Carly tells her daughter like it is. Carly knows what mob life and being in a relationship with Sonny entails.
Carly made many sacrifices during her marriage to Sonny. You will see Carly try to reason with Joss, and Joss may not like what her mother has to say.
Joss may have thought she could change Dex and convince him to stop working for Sonny. Dex was in the army, so he is all about honor. Dex intends to honor his commitment to Sonny.
We still don’t know much about Dex’s past, except that he joined the army to get away from his family, and he worked for a private security firm, which is how he got hooked up with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Dex already saved Sonny from an ambush. He risked his life to protect Sonny, and that is something that Sonny doesn’t take lightly.
Dex has proven himself to the mob boss, but what if Sonny finds out about Dex’s connection to Michael? Sonny may soon learn that Dex only came to work for him to help Michael take him down.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Sonny Kill Dex?
As much as Sonny appreciates Dex for what he has done for him, he despises betrayal. He may not react too well if and when he discovers the truth.
Not to mention Dex’s incriminating recording that could have landed Sonny in prison for life, Sonny needs to be there to keep his family safe, and Dex almost ratted him out to the Feds.
It could go one of two ways: Sonny could have mixed feelings but eventually forgive Dex. Or, Sonny may decide it isn’t worth the risk to trust Dex and kill him.
It goes without saying that Joss would be devastated if something happened to Dex. At this point, Dex is better off being a fixture in Sonny’s organization and remaining loyal to him.
It is only a question of whether Joss can endure a mafia romance with the handsome Dex. She may back out of it if she feels she can’t have a real relationship with him.
Joss wants a boyfriend with whom she can have fun, but she loves Dex. Will Dex and Joss have a happy ending, or will they call it quits?
