‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers uncover that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may kill Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). Sonny thinks he’s the traitor in his organization, thanks to Brick (Stephen A Smith). Brick planted a seed of doubt in Sonny’s mind that Dex can’t be trusted.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Will Jason’s Return Be the Death of Dex?
With Steve Burton set to return as Sonny’s favorite mob enforcer, will Dex be killed off? It would be awful to see that happen. We all know that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) asked Dex to protect Sonny. Dex has been nothing but loyal to him.
But with Brick creating doubt and insinuating that Dex is only pretending to be on Sonny’s side, Sonny may snap and kill Dex if he finds out that Dex is snooping around to find out who the real traitor is.
The mole in the organization could very well be a brainwashed Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Who else would have known about Sonny’s private island and killed one of Sonny’s guards?
Guess who could have known the landscape of Sonny’s territory and pulled off an ambush of that magnitude? Who could be that good of a shooter to rival Sonny’s men? The answer, of course, is Jason Morgan.
Jason is Sonny’s worst threat, and the most dangerous aspect is that Sonny doesn’t even know that Jason is still alive.
The survival skills demonstrated by Jason when he was on Sonny’s side were unmatched by anyone Sonny has ever dealt with, and this is true of this person whom Sonny and Brick want to decimate.
Brick wasn’t all that far off about his enemy being someone close to Sonny. He has it all wrong about Dex.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny May Make a Huge Mistake
So, when Dex tries to help Sonny and his family by sniffing out the person responsible for the ambush in Puerto Rico, Sonny may mistake Dex’s shady behavior for betrayal.
Sonny may kill Dex to eliminate his perceived threat. This suspicion will lead to significant problems as Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is in love with Dex and doesn’t like Dex’s involvement with Sonny.
Joss will strike out against Sonny in some way. She may even set him up herself.
Joss didn’t even flinch at the thought of turning Sonny into the Feds when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) devised a plan to take Sonny down by taking footage of him making a dirty deal with Pikeman Security Group.
We could see Sonny taking Brick’s words as truth and wrongfully going after Dex. Everyone is excited about Jason’s return, but we don’t want it to be at the expense of Joss’s boyfriend.
Another factor in this messy equation is that Dex was only supposed to be in a short-term role, but Evan Hofer impressed the powers that be with his extraordinary performance. However, the new head writers could stop anything set in motion by the old ones.
We hope this isn’t true and we get more of the character’s history and his backstory. And we know Joss would be devastated to lose Dex.
Hopefully, the spoilers that come to fruition will be Dex’s paternity and Jason turning out to be Dex’s father.
