‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers alum Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) is off the hook. At least for now. There are new reports that indicate that actor, who is also best known for his role as Stefan DiMera on ‘Days of Our Lives’, will not be seeking treatment for his alcohol issues. Just last week the daytime television actor was arrested in Martinsville, Indiana on and on his 47th birthday no less. He was booked for public intoxication. Records show that he is being held on $225 cash and $1,000 bond. According to Soap Opera Digest, Tyler has been fined $440, but the judge did not order him to enter an alcohol treatment program. The decision was made despite recommendations made by the arresting officers.

For a lot of fans who have been following Tyler’s career over the years, they already know that the talented actor has struggled with alcohol addiction in the past. As a matter of fact, the actor even left ‘Days of Our Lives’ back in 2018 to focus more on his personal life and his struggles. While there has been some speculation that Tyler would reprise one of his daytime television roles, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. He’s been given a hard pass for both of his past ‘General Hospital’ and ‘Days of Our Lives’ roles. Nikolas Cassadine has been given to newcomer Marcus Coloma while actor Brandon Barash is slated to reprise his role as Stefan DiMera.
So far Tyler Christopher himself has not made any comments about his arrest, nor has any indication been made that he plans on returning to the daytime television world anytime soon.
