General Hospital spoilers reveal that Valentine Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) might be on borrowed time. He’s got a team of people just waiting to take him down. One of the more recent plotters was Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). While it seems she’s having second thoughts, the other people in town aren’t. But can he still pull out a win? Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital spoilers: The plot
By now, you probably know that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is the driving force behind the plot to dethrone Valentine. With several other characters privy to his secret and working with him, things haven’t been going well. Nikolas made a couple of questionable moves since his return. One of these even put suspicion on Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). But his own missteps might not be what foils his mission to get back what’s rightfully his.
General Hospital spoilers: Unmasked?
Yes, we know that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) saw Nikolas. She also recently saw a picture of him in Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) phone. That’s a big strike against #TeamDestroyValentin. There’s a good chance she’ll talk.
Then there’s the Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) thing. Valentin offered her big bucks to explain what she’s been up to. In the Tuesday, November 26th episode, she expressed a desire to stay here in Port Charles. Her daughter knows her father now, and she thinks she can make a good life here. This is contrary to Nikolas’ desire for her to get gone. But he might not even need her confession.
General Hospital spoilers: Duped
We learned in the November 26th episode that Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) is working with Valentin. He dropped by Jax’s place to talk business. He claimed to be in possession of a much-coveted painting through a client. This mystery client is willing to sell, but he needs an offer first. To Laura Webber (Genie Francis) and Jax’s credit, they’re wary of this sudden development. Laura wants to know who the buyer is. She’s a public servant after all. Business affairs need to be transparent. Still, that doesn’t convince Martin to talk. They also question giving an offer before having proof that the painting really is there, and intact. Martin shows a picture on his tablet and assures them further proof will be handed over at the time of the offer. They’re left to chew on that offer a while. What they didn’t know is, Martin left behind his tablet. He quickly returns to get it back, then takes off. It turned out, he’d recorded their private conversation while he was outside. Now, Valentin knows about the codicil. But is that enough?
General Hospital spoilers: Where next?
We think it’s pretty obvious Valentin will eventually take that big fall. However, this is sure to stall that a while. We’re guessing with the codicil secret out of the bag, Ava’s gallery is going to get a secret visit. Expect Valentin to do everything possible to get that codicil back. If one attempt fails, expect him to get more aggressive as he gets more desperate to save his fortune.
