The Masked Singer spoilers reveal it’s New York night, and we have two more characters entering the competition. We’ll also see something new going down, so let’s preview what’s ahead. Plus, talk about last week.
The Masked Singer spoilers: Next…
First, The Masked Singer spoilers reveal the episode will have a New York theme, with the last time being ABBA night. The winner of ABBA night will now face off against two new characters. One is California Roll. The other is Polar Bear. We really don’t know what to make of that costume for California Roll right now, but we’re loving what we saw of Polar Bear. We already know one performance will be of the song, “New York, New York” which was the obvious choice. We can’t wait to see what other songs are chosen.
The Masked Singer spoilers: Twist
So, we mentioned before they’re keeping to pretty much the same format as last season. Three people perform, and one goes on to the next round each week. However, this season has a twist. There’s what the call the “Ding Dong, Keep it On” bell. It can only be used once per round, and the judges can use it to save one person from being eliminated. New York night will mark the first time it’s been used. We’re pretty sure the current champ will either make it through, or be the one saved by that bell. So, who is defending their title?
The Masked Singer spoilers: Last time
Last time, we saw Medusa face off against Night Owl and Rock Lobster. It was pretty obvious, in our opinion, that Rock Lobster was definitely going home after watching their performance. However, when it was time for Night Owl to face off against Medusa, we thought Medusa would pull it out and she did. That left Night Owl taking off the mask. Who was behind it?
That would be Debbie Gibson, one of our favorites from the ‘80s. Gibson also marked the second time we guessed exactly who it was, just based on the first couple of clues alone. But her performance sealed the deal, and we were sorry to see her go. We were also surprised to learn her appearance on the show was a last-minute thing, as someone else was sick and couldn’t perform. Gibson had about 24 hours to get ready, and we can’t imagine the work that was involved to pull that off.
As for Rock Lobster, he was reveal to be Howie Mandell. While we weren’t huge fans of the performance, we gotta give him huge credit for a sense of humor. One of the reasons he gave for being on the show was finding a whole new way to embarrass himself.
