British Royal News suggests that whatever happened behind closed doors at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral didn’t bring the royals closer together, but further apart. In fact, there’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest move might be a massive “middle finger” to the royals back in the UK. Here’s what you need to know.
According to one royal expert, Harry and Meghan apparently sent out a message – and a strong one – back at the royals by releasing their portrait photo a little after King Charles and company did the same. At least that’s what biographer Tom Bower believes. He thinks it’s become the Battle of the Portraits between the Sussexes and everyone else.

“It was all about, we’re back now on course to build Brand Meghan and the book, the Netflix series, the podcast,” he said. “Everything is money. And to their advantage, they were in the public eye for seven days during the funeral or more, every day they were filmed.”
“They were shuffled off to a window upstairs and hardly seen,” he added. “You know, she has really got one interest and that’s Meghan and the casualties are the royal family and as far as she’s concerned, that’s terrific.”
Meanwhile, Bower also suggested that Harry was upset that his family were not showing Meghan, “sufficient support, respect and friendship.” Not only that, but he also singled out Kate Middleton and said that she could have done a better job of being “friendlier” to his sister-in-law.
Bower, who recently wrote the book, “Revenge,” put it this way, “Members of their family, said Harry, were not showing her sufficient support, respect and friendship. Meghan, Harry believed, should be just as appreciated as their mother. William’s reply was not sympathetic. Beyond the palaces, few were aware of the split between the brothers.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
