Guillermo (Luciano D’Alessandro) is an airline pilot with a pretty sweet life. He’s got a great job, a woman who also works in the airline industry, a great home, the whole nine. Unfortunately, his life is changed by a series of bad choices. The first one is when his woman, Nancy (Manuela Valdés) sends him a couple of sexy pictures on his phone while he’s heading home. Instead of ignoring the device, he opened the pictures to gawk at them. This caused him to hit a motorcycle with a couple of people on it. But he’s not the only one making bad choices.

Nancy, first off, chose to send those pictures knowing he was on the road. After the accident, she tells him to say nothing and even goes so far as to hide the vehicle.
Meanwhile, his victim, Esteban, also made a bad choice. He listened to his son, Eduardo (Gabriel Piñeros) when the child suggested they run. The boy got it in his head his dad would get in big trouble if they stayed. But Esteban didn’t have to listen.

Guillermo is so devastated by the man’s death and the child’s injuries, he decides to go to the hospital and donate blood. On the surface, a harmless act of atonement. However, he takes things a bit far. First, he lies to the mother, Mabel (María Cecilia Sánchez), and claims to have a foundation that helps children as an excuse to give them money. Then, he gets closer and closer to Mabel. So much so, he visits with the kid and even gives him a set of wings. That stirs the child’s memory of the accident just enough for Mabel to put the pieces together. So, who won and who lost?

Obviously, the big loser is Guillermo. He ends up getting arrested for the crime and loses any affection the woman had for him. Of course, Eduardo comes out a loser because he not only loses his father, but his new friend as well.
The winner, to an extent is Mabel. She no longer has to worry about Esteban taking her child, but she avoids getting any further involved with a man who’s a massive liar with a vindictive wife-turned-ex. The other winner here is Nancy. We can’t say we’re too happy about it. She’s the one who got him to hide it all, plus she didn’t seem too concerned with the hurt child. Finally, she turned on him like a rabid dog as soon as he decided to leave her and pointed the cops his way. After helping cause the crash with those pictures. Despite all that, she seems to come out smelling like a rose. We guess no one said life (or telenovelas) is fair.
