The new show takes over the 9 PM slot on December 10th. This means that El Final del Paraiso (End of Paradise) closes out season four on December 9th. Here’s what you need to know.

This series isn’t exactly new. The title is slightly altered, but the basic idea will stay the same. The anthology series explores real life situations. The announcement promises a focus on investigations, social struggles, and more. The stand-alone show explores our choices and the consequences.

The series is an ambitious production. According to the announcement, it was filmed in multiple locations. Miami was the first location listed. Not a huge surprise, as Telemundo has a studio based here. Parts of the previous season of El Final del Paraíso was filmed in Miami, too. Other locations include Mexico and Colombia, two other big locations for novelas.

Fans of Telemundo Telenovelas will see a bunch of familiar faces. Isabella Sierra (Sofia Dantes, La Reina del Sur) will be part of this new series. She captured the attention of audiences with her spot-on portrayal of a kid caught up in her mother’s dangerous past. Christian Tappen (Will Rangel, La Reina del Sur) is also part of the new production.

Fans of El Final del Paraíso will recognize a couple of actors as well. Gregorio Pernia (Aurelio “El Titi” Jaramillo) is confirmed to star in an episode. His narco character in love with a DEA agent is popular with fans. He’ll be joined by Juan Pablo Llano. The actor played Daniel Cerón Venegas, a journalist who helped the heroes expose a dangerous criminal. He was recently killed off.

Other familiar faces include Torres, the lead in Betty en NY, Gabriela Roel of La Doña, Sebastián Caicedo of El Chema, and Laura Flores. She played Soledad Elizalde on the Univision series Juntos, el corazón nunca se equivoca (Together, the heart’s never wrong)
