‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers say that Sonny is back, but he will be looking a whole lot different, if not sexier. There are new reports that say The Young and the Restless alum Zach Tinker will be headed over to DOOL. Here’s what you need to know!
Peacock’s DOOL spinoff Beyond Salem will be seeing both new and familiar faces. That’s because Chandler Massey will be reprising his role as Will Horton while Zach Tinker, who is best known for his role as Fenmore on Y&R, will be taking over the role as Sonny Kiriakis, which was last played by Freddie Smith.

If that weren’t enough, Greg Rikaart will also be coming back as Leo Stark while Thaoo Penghlis will play Tony DiMera and Leann Hunley as Anna DiMera.
Of course, it didn’t take very long for both The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives fans to weigh in on the matter. Many of them took to their social media accounts to write, “Wow!!! Chandler and Zach will have massive Chemistry between the two of them! Great choice!!” along with, “Wow….I’ve been wanting Robert Adamson as a recast Sonny, but Zach Tinker might actually be even more ideal; I can get on board with this.”
Another fan wrote, “FINALLY!! I think alot of people and myself have been saying that this needed to be the recast Sonny! Looks like Ron and company are finally listening, and Days is getting a lot of firepower behind it lately. Maybe this is the big Days comeback it has needed for quite some time. “
