‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest that DOOL needs to elaborate on Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeny) engagement. Last week, Sami blew through Salem like the Hurricane she is and told everyone about her new fiancé.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Sami Told EJ She Was Engaged Before Sharing the News with Anyone Else
In the November 11th episode of DOOL, Sami revealed to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) that she’s marrying into the Vitali crime family.
Apparently, Sami and Dante Vitali have had a whirlwind romance, as they had only been dating for two months. Now they are suddenly engaged.

Sami made a point of telling EJ first before sharing the news with anyone else. That happened after Sami told EJ she was throwing a baby shower for Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens).
The catch? EJ wasn’t invited. Ouch. EJ had an amusing response to Sami’s engagement: “Are you out of your bloody mind?”

Sami shrugged off EJ’s concern. He reminded her that the Vitallis are a mob family. Dante’s sister, Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), had long been involved in organized crime.
Sami assured EJ that Dante isn’t a mobster and that he was living in Italy, utterly oblivious to his cousin’s activities in Pennsylvania.
The announcement would have had a much greater impact if she had shown up with Dante. Yet, we have never seen him before, and he didn’t accompany Sami to Salem.

We need to find out more about Dante, or at least Sami could have a lavish wedding with all her family in Salem.
Otherwise, it was simply a waste of airtime. However, we’re holding out hope since DOOL is a unique and clever soap.
The issue here is that Sami only blows through town like a swift wind, leaving as quickly as she arrives whenever she comes to visit.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: There Needs to Be More to the Story
As far as we know, Alison Sweeny isn’t planning to return to the soap full-time. It’s a shame since Sami is such an entertaining and dynamic character with endless ties to Salem.
We also have to wonder if the purpose of Sami hightailing it to EJ’s office to inform him of her engagement was a ploy to make him jealous.
We know Sami wasn’t too thrilled about EJ dating her little sister, Belle Black (Martha Madison). Perhaps she’s throwing her new relationship in EJ’s face as payback.

After all, Sami doesn’t do anything without an ulterior motive. However, we applaud her efforts in therapy as she’s recently experienced some character growth.
She even advised EJ to try not to give in to his worst impulses. Sami is busy working on herself and has obviously learned a lot in therapy.
Sami also showed compassion for EJ during her conversation with Johnny about his father. She doesn’t want Johnny to look back and regret his choices, especially when it comes to family.

Interestingly, Sami has been married to EJ, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and this week the trio has a male bonding session as they talk about their individual experiences with Hurricane Sami!
As far as the engagement is concerned, we want to see more than just Sami’s big rock on her finger. We want to see the fallout of Sami getting into bed with the mafia. It would be a delicious, soapy mess.
Is Sami way over her head and in serious trouble? Has Dante proven he’s the man she believes he is, or is he secretly a hardcore mobster? Is she as in love with Dante as she was with EJ? What is the story?
