‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers pose the question: who does EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) have more chemistry with? Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) or Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien)?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Cat and EJ Share a Forbidden Attraction
While this is kind of an open-ended question, considering every woman on the soap has chemistry with the handsome yet dastardly DiMera, we’re choosing to specifically zero in on Cat and Gwen’s recent scenes with him.
Let’s start with Cat. DOOL has been hinting at an intriguing EJ/Cat pairing for a while now. Cat and EJ’s brother, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), were recently involved.
However, Chad had to break Cat’s heart due to a frustrating storyline in which Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) threatened to take his kids if he didn’t stop dating Cat.

When Cat first arrived in Salem, she impersonated Chad’s late wife, Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller). She only did that because Clyde Weston (James Read) was threatening to kill Cat’s mother.
That said, there is an undeniable spark between EJ and Cat, and many fans are curious for the writers to explore it. Plus, the two characters apparently have a past connection, as Cat read the romance novel, “Wuthering Heights,” to EJ while he was recovering in a clinic in Italy.

While Chad expressly asked EJ not to go after Cat, EJ definitely lights up like a Christmas tree when he sees her. He’s obviously noticed that Cat is beautiful, but then there is the complicated dynamic of the unique history between them.
Not to mention, the game of cat and mouse that Cat is playing with EJ. Unbeknownst to EJ, Cat is working with the ISA to bring EJ down.
She’s joined forces with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to investigate EJ’s suspicious purchase of Salem University Hospital.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Recent Scenes Between EJ and Gwen Were a Welcome Rarity
Speaking of which, there is Gwen. The recent scenes between EJ and Gwen, where she prompted him to confide in her about his father, Stefano DiMera’s (Joe Mascolo) demise, were especially good.
Gwen actually made EJ laugh, a welcome rarity from the brooding, duplicitous, mischief-maker, who never seems to want to let anyone see his suffering beneath the surface.
I am not blind. There is obviously explosive chemistry between EJ and Cat, but the chemistry between Gwen and EJ is difficult to ignore as well.

Gwen and EJ typically have a contentious relationship. The back-and-forth between them creates tension and brutal honesty, which can be both refreshing and combative.
Despite EJ and Gwen’s comical efforts to avoid bonding with each other, they have managed to do just that. They seem to appreciate each other in a way that others don’t.
However, the physical attraction between EJ and Cat is palpable. They share a different kind of electricity. Plus, EJ stood up to his mother, Susan Banks (Stacey Haiduk), in the February 3rd episode. Both Cat and Susan understand what it’s like to be outsiders.

Cat and EJ have that in common as well. They are also both victims of Clyde Weston. Their shared bond makes it easy to see them together.
Plus, Gwen also has chemistry with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), and if anyone needs a love interest who accepts him for who he is, it’s Xander. Plus, spoilers indicate those two will indeed hook-up very soon.
Who would you prefer to see couple up? EJ and Cat or EJ and Gwen? It’s a tough choice for me, so I’d like to know your thoughts!
