‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest the Peacock soap is shipping a sudden connection between EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord).
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chad Has Suffered One Heartbreak After Another
It looks like Cat read the romance novel, Wuthering Heights, to EJ while he was bandaged and comatose in a facility in Italy. Cat had an accident and was transferred from hospital to hospital to protect her ISA cover.
While we appreciate EJ finally having another love interest other than the bland and boring Belle Black (Martha Madison), we are unsure whether we’re on board with EJ betraying his brother, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), and going after Cat.
Let’s face it: Chad has had a very s****y life. His soulmate was murdered, and it took him years to recover. He literally mourned his dead wife for years. He’s finally found someone who’s awakened a part of him that seemingly died with his beloved Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller).
Now, because of Rachel Black (Alice Halsey), Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher), and the high-and-mighty Horton family, Cat is likely to gravitate toward EJ, leaving Chad heartbroken.
Truthfully, we’ve known this was coming for months now. In the DOOL 60th anniversary photoshoot, Cat was in the middle of EJ and Chad.
The picture strongly hinted at an impending love triangle. It’s apparent that we’re seeing that play out now. Plus, Billy Flynn will be off the show by January.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Billy Flynn Is Out, Conner Floyd Is In
Conner Floyd, who’s set to take over the role of Chad DiMera, will be on the show come April. It’s not clear whether the soap plans to break up Chad and Cat because Billy Flynn is out, and a new actor is in. It’s entirely possible that since Flynn left the show, they want to take Cat in a new direction.
Look, we all know Cat and EJ are headed to the bedroom. Their mysterious Wuthering Heights connection only makes sense if they are trying to build up some kind of relationship between Cat and EJ.
At least the show is creating an intriguing mystery and gradually connecting the dots. It now makes sense why both EJ and Cat were interested in Wuthering Heights at the bookstore.
Plus, now we know why Cat recognized the picture of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeny) at Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) home. Sami also sat vigil by EJ’s side as he recovered at the clinic in Italy.
EJ and Cat have kind of a forbidden chemistry, which is intriguing. We could see him moving in on Cat since Chad was basically forced to break up with her.
We could also see EJ trying to get Chad to realize what he’s missing by not being with Cat. He could go out with her and flaunt a potential relationship between the two of them.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ May Help Chad Come To an Epiphany
Seeing Cat and EJ together, Chad may finally realize he can’t let the Hortons, or even his son, Thomas, control his love life. It’s unhealthy for him to continue to seek the approval of Abigail’s family.
It may be callous to say, but Abigail is gone now. Chad should be allowed to move on with his life. We understand that Cat made a mistake. However, who among the Hortons hasn’t?
We’ve been waiting for Chad to come to an epiphany about Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). His romantic life is no longer their concern.
While EJ is quite yummy, we’re rooting for Chad in this scenario. He deserves some happiness after all the tragedy and trauma he’s endured.
Maybe EJ will help Chad see that what he feels for Cat is real, and he shouldn’t let her go. Then again, EJ could do something rotten to his brother and pursue Cat.
Regardless, DOOL is definitely playing up EJ and Cat’s Wuthering Heights bond that came out of nowhere. There is obviously a reason why.
