‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal it’s getting closer! Another double wedding is ahead in Salem, and you know what that means! Given who the grooms are, it’s obvious that Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) is about to be exposed. But what is this going to do to the family? Here’s our take.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The plot
First, let’s look back. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Theresa learned that Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is the true Kiriakis heir. So, she and Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) plotted to arrange things so everyone believes Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) is the heir.
She had a lot to gain from it. Not only would she be sticking it to Xander, but she’d be with a very rich man if she played her cards right with Alex.
Since then, she’s been forced into different things to keep the secret going. And make herself look like an innocent woman in love, rather than a Gold digger. She even tried to get rid of the invitation Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) planned to send Xander’s mom. But her time’s running out.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Wedding disaster incoming!
On Friday, July 19, the double wedding will begin. Clearly, the mystery guest in the weekly preview is Xander’s mother. And if history has taught us anything, no secret stays secret. Especially at a Salem wedding. So, it is obvious the truth will come out about Xander’s paternity. This is going to bring a lot of drama!
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The fallout
First, ‘Days of Our Lives’ reveal a secret of this magnitude means that Alex and Theresa are basically done as soon as the truth is revealed. So, Alex will be heartbroken and humiliated. After all, several people tried to warn him. We doubt any pleas Theresa will likely make should change things. He really shouldn’t be able to trust her again.
Alex will also be left with an awkward situation. He’s been processing this for a long time and still struggling. So much so, he’s been a bit over the top at times with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth).
So, Alex will now have to start from scratch. Plus, he’ll likely feel beyond guilty. This will leave him likely feeling ashamed and possibly distancing himself more out of that shame. At the very least, he’ll agonize over how to make things up to Justin.
As for Xander, he’s going to have more reason to hate Theresa. Plus, he’ll now be in Alex’s shoes, although it might be better for him. He always wanted Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) love and approval.
By knowing he’s Victor finally was ready to acknowledge him and leave Xander half his estate, he gets some of that love, although a bit late. At the same time, he’ll struggle with the fact he never got to get that from Victor in a more personal way.
He and Victor were robbed of the opportunity to talk and form that relationship. We’re also curious how he’ll feel about being the true owner of that inheritance. He turned down Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) check. So, there will be a lot for him to unpack, too.
We hope Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) has some time to spare. They’re all going to need a lot of therapy soon.
