‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers suggest that fans are wondering how Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will exit Days. The actor, Billy Flynn, is leaving the Peacock soap and heading for The Young and The Restless.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chad And “Fake Abigail” Didn’t Cut It For Fans
Flynn has been an integral part of the canvas since he took over the part of Chad in September 2014.
Considering Flynn is a fan-favorite, and due to his part in propelling the enormous popularity of the super couple, “Chabby,” or Chad and Abigail Deveraux (played by Kate Mansi and Marci Miller), it’s going to be a tough sell if someone should step into Flynn’s shoes.
That being said, viewers are starting to speculate exactly how Chad’s exit stage left. That is, assuming Flynn takes the character with him.
Truth be told, Chad’s been floundering since Abigail’s death. He took over the Spectator in honor of her memory. He has also been a wonderful confidant for Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), especially since Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) has passed.
Chad still hasn’t been able to move on since Abigal was fatally stabbed in July 2022. He met fake Abigail (aka Cat Greene, played by AnnaLynn McCord), and she cruelly tricked him into believing she was his dead wife.
While AnnaLynn McCord and Billy Flynn certainly have some chemistry, it’s nothing compared to his chemistry with Kate Mansi, who now plays Kristina Corinthos Davis on General Hospital.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Flynn Will Be Forever Tied To Chad And Abigail’s Epic Love Story
Since Chad, particularly Billy Flynn, is forever intertwined with Chad and Abby’s love story, we can see Chad finding out somehow that Abigail isn’t really dead and decides to take off searching for her.
Clyde Weston (James Read) was about to give Chad pertinent information about Abby. Supposedly, Clyde knew where Abby’s remains were.
However, we have a feeling that when Clyde comes out of his coma, he may admit that Abigail really is alive.
Right when Clyde is about to tell Chad the truth, Catherina Greene (Susan Elena Matus) shoots Clyde, which subsequently puts him into a coma.
We have a feeling that when Flynn leaves the soap, his character will go looking for Abigal, and he’ll be off canvas until a new Chad is recast. That’s our prediction.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Billy Flynn’s Take On Recasting Chad
Billy Flynn was recently interviewed by People magazine. He opened up about the role of Chad potentially being placed in the hands of a new actor. Flynn also discussed how he connected to his character.
“I’ve got to play this entire revolution,”
He shared.
“I don’t know what else to do with him. He’s been as much a part of me as I think I probably will ever put into another part.”
Flynn claimed that while his character was enduring emotional turmoil, he was also experiencing hard times in his own life. It made it easier for him to play Chad.
On a recast, Flynn gushed,
“The outpouring of well-wishes and love since this came out is humbling. It’s been incredibly moving for me. I’m going to take that with me.”
“I hope fans continue to watch Days and support Days and support whoever might come in and play Chad if there ever is that case,”
He added,
“I hope they do that and give somebody the same love they gave me. And I hope that they come with me on this journey that I’m on and support me doing that, too.”
Flynn will be sorely missed on Days. However, due to Days unusual shooting schedule, fans will continue to see him in Salem into 2026. Flynn heads to Y&R and makes his entrance into Genoa City this spring.
