Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) will fire his father, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), after his shameful courtroom betrayal.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Johnny Won’t Approve Of EJ Playing Hardball With His Wife
Apparently, Johny won’t approve of EJ playing hardball with his wife, Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens), on the stand.
We know that EJ tampered with the memory card to make it look like Chanel made a threat on his life. Yet, that’s a fabrication.
The footage was definitely a deep fake of Chanel telling EJ that he won’t live long enough to hurt Johnny again.
The video somehow incriminated Chanel, despite the fact that any idiot could see that the recording was altered. Johnny also knows Chanel is innocent, but didn’t suspect his father had corrupted the footage.

When Chanel stopped by the DiMera mansion to have a “chat” with EJ, she never said those words. EJ obviously had his loyal assistant Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) edit the footage.
In court, Johnny will beg his father to go easy on Chanel when he cross-examines her. We all know that EJ will promise Johnny and then violate his son’s trust.
When Chanel takes the witness stand, EJ will eviscerate her. Afterwards, Johnny will say to his dad, “I have two words for you: you’re fired!”
Regardless, Chanel will decide to take the fall for her husband. She’ll confess to shooting EJ to free Johnny.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Our Money Is On Rachel Black As The Shooter
Additionally, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) appears to have a theory about who shot EJ, which she may or may not present in court, depending on who it is.
Our money is still on Rachel Black (Alice Halsey). We think the ten-year-old was angry with her uncle for making her grandmother disappear.
EJ has been downright vicious in the courtroom, except for when Rachel was on the stand. At the end of the August 13th episode, he wondered whether the person who shot him was Belle Black (Martha Madison).

That revelation occurred after EJ asked Marlena if she thought Sami Brady (Alison Sweeny) tried to kill him.
We highly doubt that Belle would shoot EJ, no matter how furious with him she is. Belle and Sami are red herrings the writers are tossing at us to throw us off our game.
Sami was genuinely worried when EJ was shot and lying comatose in a hospital bed. Sami has changed and also wouldn’t harm the father of her children, despite his past indiscretions.
EJ claimed the shooter was a woman, but we have to wonder if the voice he heard was simply a female.
EJ may subconsciously be protecting the culprit and, therefore, is repressing the memory of them pulling the trigger.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ May Be Trying To Ruin His Son’s Marriage
It makes sense that if EJ is protecting someone he cares about, he may want to throw someone else under the bus.
It would be easy for EJ to do that to Chanel. Of course, EJ has that pesky habit of making a terrible situation even worse, especially when it comes to his family.
Johnny will let EJ know that he’s done with his father playing the dastardly defense attorney on his behalf. EJ already outed his relationship with Belle in court, which was honestly offensive enough.
We know Johnny and Chanel are both innocent. The absurdity of Chanel going to see EJ to tell him to leave Johnny alone and then returning to the mansion later with a weapon to pump a bullet into EJ is beyond ridiculous.

We also have to wonder if destroying his son’s marriage to Chanel is a clever plan to pull him back into the DiMera fold.
Johnny had a hard enough time forgiving EJ for raping Sami. He’ll also be livid over his father’s aggressive legal tactics.
It should be obvious to Johnny that EJ wouldn’t hesitate to send Chanel to prison for a crime he knows she didn’t commit.
EJ’s courtroom betrayal may also make Johnny rethink his decision to allow his father back into his life.
