Days Of Our Lives spoilers suggest that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is making a total fool out of his girlfriend, Belle Black (Martha Madison).
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Belle Is The Salem District Attorney
As district attorney, Belle is in a unique position and has a legal duty to pursue justice and seek the truth.
Part of her job is to deduce when someone is lying, as criminals often do. She should be smart and intuitive enough to spot when someone is trying to pull a con on her.
Belle “mysteriously” received the memory card, which contained the footage proving that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) didn’t shoot EJ.
When Belle and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) examined the memory card, they found Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) standing in front of EJ, threatening his life, which is a scenario that never actually occurred.
Belle and Jada know Chanel, and Chanel isn’t the violent type. The footage was clearly edited to incriminate Chanel so that EJ’s son wouldn’t end up in prison.
The daughter of Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), a brilliant psychiatrist who is a good judge of character, seems to be shockingly inept in reading people.
When Belle and EJ were at the DiMera mansion, EJ pretended to worry about the state of Johnny and Chanel’s marriage, and what it would do to his son if he thought his wife shot his father.
Belle, who is presumably an upstanding district attorney with a sound moral compass, proceeded to look like an idiot. She lapped EJ’s lies up with a spoon. She was super love-dovey with EJ and embarrassingly oblivious to his deception and treachery.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ Isn’t Exactly A “Changed Man”
EJ’s show of “compassion” was fake and contrived. Although Belle doesn’t have all the facts the audience does, it should have occurred to her that the footage may have been doctored.
Additionally, she should have questioned where the memory card came from and who sent it to her. Why would evidence incriminating Chanel suddenly appear on her desk?
Not to mention, why didn’t Belle second guess the judge’s decision to “unrecuse” her from the case? There is a staggering conflict of interest. Johnny is her nephew and EJ is her boyfriend. EJ must have bribed that judge.
EJ is making a fool out of Belle, and she already looks ridiculous for overlooking EJ’s numerous crimes. Belle should be more honorable. She’s the DA!
EJ wants to get Chanel out of the way because she disapproves of Johnny having a relationship with his mother’s rapist.
Chanel made it perfectly clear to EJ that Johnny would be better off without him. She understands how toxic the DiMera family is, and she knows EJ is guilty of causing a long list of people considerable pain.
Mind-bogglingly enough, several people on that list include members of Belle’s own family. While we adore Feuerreigel and even EJ, for that matter, we can’t exactly get on board with his relationship with Belle.
They don’t really make sense as a couple. EJ should be with someone spicier than bland as wonder bread Belle and Belle should be with someone who possesses a similar belief system. We don’t buy that they’re soulmates.
You can’t really help who you fall in love with, but being the DA, Belle should be more concerned with protecting the citizens of Salem, and less focused on getting busy in the bedroom with EJ.
