‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest that Jennifer Horton Deveraux’s (Melissa Reeves) custody feud with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is an absurd storyline, as no judge in their right mind would even consider the idea of taking two children away from a loving father.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chad, Jennifer, and Jack Will Determine a Custody Arrangement
DOOL spoilers indicate that in the January 21st episode, Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) will open up to Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) and tell him he thinks that the fighting between Jennifer, Chad, and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) is his fault.
Thomas is a child who is caught in the middle of his father’s and his grandparents’ nonsensical custody battle. He doesn’t understand that he’s not the one to blame, but Jennifer is.

Tomorrow, Chad, Jennifer, and Jack will determine the best custody arrangement for Thomas and Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron).
Apparently, a mediator will serve as the go-between for the three adults. First, Chad is his children’s only living parent since Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) was brutally murdered.
Chad hasn’t committed any crimes and has done nothing to deserve having his children ripped away from him. On the other hand, Jennifer’s track record isn’t so spotless.

A couple of years ago, she hit Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) while driving her car high on painkillers. She also stole pills to feed her then-addiction. Yet, no one really seems to remember this except Gwen.
That said, in reality, the DUI and pill addiction would automatically exclude Jennifer from being able to sue a loving father who has committed no crime for custody of his kids.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Hello? Chad Is No Longer Dating Cat
Jennifer is literally punishing Chad for comforting Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) because her mother is sick. She’s gone off the deep end and is using her daughter’s memory to justify her self-righteous actions.
Another issue here is that Jack fully supports his wife’s quest to gain custody of those kids. Jack is supposed to be the more compassionate, reasonable, and less reactive between the two.

You would think that Jack would speak up and explain to Jennifer that her accusations are baseless. After all, if she hadn’t noticed, Chad isn’t dating Cat anymore. In fact, he was willing to cut her out of his life entirely.
The only reason he cut ties with her was to appease Jennifer and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) wishes. It’s also funny how Julie has welcomed Jeremy with open arms and forgiven his past entirely, yet can’t muster even the slightest bit of empathy for Cat.
She never wanted to impersonate Abigail. She was basically forced into it by Clyde Weston (James Read). Not to mention, Jennifer married the man who raped her close friend Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).

The Hortons seem to feel that if the apple doesn’t fall from their tree, they can’t forgive. Getting to the point, the story isn’t the least bit realistic, and it’s made Jennifer one of the most unlikeable characters on the soap. She’s a hypocrite and too high and mighty for her own good.
Jennifer, Julie, and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) should really start a club. Any judge would deny Jennifer’s ridiculous attempt to gain custody of those kids.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Jennifer Has Pulled the Custody Card Before
Also, this isn’t the first time Jennifer tried to take those children from Chad. Shortly after Abigail died (the first time), Jennifer thought Chad was too heartbroken to be a good parent. Also ridiculous.
Chad deserves to have his children. He’s suffered enough. He even stayed in the Horton family home to raise those kids, specifically to honor the memory of his late wife.

What Jennifer is doing is actually an insult to her daughter’s memory. Abigail would never want Chad to lose custody of Thomas and Charlotte.
It also looks like DOOL will use the same route with the character, Chad, that they did with Javi: screw up the story for the purpose of sending the actor away so that the new actor can take over the role, so it’s less of an adjustment. It’s soap 101, the old-school switcheroo.

We predict that Billy Flynn’s Chad will go with Jack and Jennifer to Boston to be near his kids while Jennifer and Jack raise them. Then, Conner Floyd’s Chad will be introduced on the show in April.
Chad is a parent who would do anything for his kids, and Jennifer’s insistence that Thomas and Charlotte aren’t safe with him makes no sense. Hopefully, Chad realizes that this custody suit is BS and doesn’t give Jennifer the satisfaction.
