Now, she’s the judgmental, hypocritical shrew who’s trying to take Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) children from him and has zero grounds for her bogus custody suit.
Longtime DOOL fans have pointed out that Jennifer pulled the same crap years ago when Abigail faked her death and Chad was supposedly too deep in mourning to be a good father to Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher).
Jennifer hates Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord), and that’s fine, but why does she need to approve of whomever Chad is dating for him to be allowed to raise his own kids?
What Chad should have done was tell Thomas the truth. The same man who killed his mother, Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller), was going to kill Cat’s mom.
At least Cat apologized and took responsibility for her actions. Jennifer is a recovering pill addict, and in 2022, she ran down poor Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) with her car, committing a DUI.
Not only did she leave Gwen for dead, but she also treats Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) daughter, Gwen, like she’s the enemy to this day. Jennifer has become one of the least self-aware characters on the soap.
She has made reprehensible mistakes but doesn’t seem the least bit concerned with making amends. How is she the better parent for Chad’s children than their father?
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The Only Reason Cat’s Mom Is Alive Is Because Cat Agreed To Clyde Weston’s Sick Scheme
Now, she’s taking Chad’s kids, Thomas and Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron), and moving them to Boston with her and Jack.
The only reason Cat’s mom is still alive is because Clyde Weston (James Read) forced Cat to impersonate Abigail.
Cat felt like she needed to protect her family. Jennifer needs to forgive her and move on, not for Cat’s sake, but for her own.
Jennifer has become a bitter, sanctimonious, unforgiving version of the person she used to be. We’ve seen the negative progression in Jennifer’s attitude for years.
She’s traded her plucky personality for a spiteful one, and she only seems to want to control everyone’s lives.
Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) even warned Jennifer not to go through this custody dispute. However, she thinks she knows better than anyone and is moving full speed ahead with this literal s**tshow.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Jennifer Isn’t the Only One Who Lost Abigail
Plus, Jennifer isn’t the only one who lost Abigail. Chad lost the love of his life. The fact that he found someone who awakened the feelings in him that he believed died with his late wife is a miracle.
Jennifer is selfish, only thinking about her own feelings. Chad has the right to date whoever he pleases. She won’t forgive Cat, and that’s her business, but she’s part of the reason why Thomas has become a brat. Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) is also a poor influence.
If Jennifer weren’t so hell bent on punishing Chad for dating Cat, Thomas wouldn’t have forced his father to break up with her.
He broke up with her, and it’s not enough for Jennifer. She’s decided she’s going to battle Chad for custody of his kids.
This is why we think Chad needs to lean into his DiMera instincts and hire his ruthless brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), to eviscerate Jennifer in court. Maybe Chad will stop playing nice and slap a restraining order on Jennifer. It’s the least she deserves.
Chad has been nothing but a loving, devoted father to Thomas and Charlotte. He’s had to grieve the loss of his wife, break up with his girlfriend, and now Jennifer wants to take his kids. It’s wrong and unjust, and Jennifer needs to be stopped.
