‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that everything’s about marriage today. Some are just beginning, while one is coming to a predictable end. If you missed all the action, let’s catch you up in a Days of Our Lives recap.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Eve Gets the Old Heave-Ho, Turns Up the Crazy In Major Way As Options Run Out!
As you might remember from last week, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) finally saw her opening and went for it like a starving man at a buffet. She tells Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) that the situation is critical, now that DiMera really wants to give him the boot. She suggests the marriage as a way to make her a DiMera in name. Abe Carver (James Reynolds) actually goes with it, as the board does like her, and her company does well. There’s just one issue.
Stefan, coming around to the idea, wants to make things nice and proper with a pre-nup. Gabi’s offended, and does a great job of acting like the poor, wounded gold digger she is. Eventually, she relents and agrees to sign whatever is needed, because her only concern is the future of DiMera and, by extension, Gabi Chic. Right.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Marriage blackmail
Gabi’s not the only one thinking along those lines. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) also wants to take over DiMera through marriage as Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). At the end of Friday’s episode, she heads to Chicago where it turns Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) is living in a nice setup on her dime while he continues to recover from the building explosion, as well as his initial problem that made him a Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) experiment.
When Kristen reveals herself and explains the mask, he’s appreciative of her efforts to help him recover. She knows just the right thing to do to pay him back—marry her. The WTH look in response is gold, and we’re loving this guy already. He points out that, while they aren’t related by blood, they are still brother and sister and it’s just creepy. Well, okay, not in those exact words, but close enough. He’s got another issue as well. His goal is to be back with Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley), and he can’t hurt her by letting her find out he’s alive and married to someone else.
Kristen, predictably doesn’t care and ends up resorting to blackmail. Either he does this for her, or she’ll leave him on the street with nothing. Tony says she would never do that, so Kristen counters he would never deny her what she wants, either—DiMera and “Father’s” legacy.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: It’s over
While all this wedding action is happening, there’s one couple who is struggling today: Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). They’re still fighting today over the serum switch, the burnt diary, and Eve preparing to destroy the real serum. Jack is also angry about how Eve has used him to hurt Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves). Eve, in turn, counters that she actually fell in love with him and claims they’ve built a great life together. She doesn’t want to risk that, so she destroys the serum.
Jack is devastated by her betrayal and demands a divorce immediately. We can’t blame him. For someone who goes on about her poor, dead daughter all the time, you’d think she could understand Jack’s desperation to remember his own kids and be able to build on their shared past together.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Hail mary?
Now that the serum is gone (and the diary with notes on how to make it), he stops by the hospital in hopes of finding notes from the Will Horton (Chandler Massey) case about the drug. He runs into Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and Jennifer, who are both horrified and disgusted to learn what Eve did. Kayla suggests there’s one possible path to the serum—the private lab that they worked with.
Jack, excited, calls to speak to them about it but things don’t go as planned.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Shameless
It seems Eve has been a busy girl since Jack took off after demanding a divorce. She’d had the lab shut down, which is what Jack learned during that phone call. He and Jennifer both confront Eve at the PCPD about it, and Eve calls it doing her duty by shutting down a place that produces unapproved drugs. Jack, obviously reaching the end of his rope, tells her she’s now relieved of her duties as commissioner.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Nagging questions
The mask is still a matter of discussion today, as Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is questioned about the strange gift by Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Xander explains it was used for role play back in Nashville. That is probably way more than Brady wanted to know. We’re expecting this to play more of a part this week, as it keeps getting brought up.
