‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the soap recently unveiled its winter preview at the “Day of Days” event. The most controversial upcoming storyline is the big reveal that years ago, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) “raped” Sami Brady (Allison Sweeny), and that is how Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Allie Horton (Lindsey Arnold) were conceived.

The story is that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) and Sami are trapped in a cabin during a snowstorm, and the cabin’s roof falls on Lucas. EJ (then played by James Scott) showed up and agreed to save Lucas’s life if Sami slept with him.
Johnny will soon find out the truth about his father in the worst way possible, and Sami will confirm Johnny’s origins. In the preview, an enraged Johnny punches EJ as he falls to the floor. However, there’s more. EJ will also get shot, and according to spoilers, there are several potential suspects.
Let’s start with the most obvious: EJ’s son, Johnny. Sami is set to return to the canvas soon, and when she does, it will throw the ordinarily cool as a cad EJ into a tailspin.
Hurricane Sami will no doubt wreak havoc on EJ’s life. Sami tried to kill EJ the same way, and we can imagine her going after him if he hurt Johnny.
The first time she tried to kill EJ, it was because she feared that he would kidnap her children, and she shot him in the head. Sami is a mother who will fiercely defend her kids and does what she has to do to protect her family.
The next suspect is his own son, Johnny. He will be livid with his father when he learns what he did to Sami. Johnny also has an impulsive streak like his father, and he may make a decision he can’t take back.

Lucas is another possibility. He framed EJ for kidnapping Sami, and if Sami comes back to town and reconnects with EJ, his jealousy might get the best of him, and he shoots EJ.
Clyde Weston (James Read) hired a hitman to shoot EJ back in the day. It appeared that EJ died in Sami’s arms, but then Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) revealed that her brother was alive.
Clyde has a long and sordid history with the DiMeras, and there may be some reason he would shoot EJ. He’s definitely the wild card in this scenario, and he’s always out for revenge.
In the preview, EJ is seen frantically asking someone, “What are you doing?” After EJ is shot, his brother, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), finds him lying on the floor, bleeding. Fans are worried that EJ’s shooting may prove fatal.
Days fans know that Brandon Barash, who played Stefan DiMera, recently left the soap. The decision sent shockwaves throughout daytime, as no one expected it.
This is especially true considering the popular pairing of Stefan and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Cherie Jimenez). The fans were clamoring for the couple to find their way back to each other. Could EJ be the next character to leave the show?
