‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that casting shockers are ahead on the soap. Madelyn Kientz, who has played troublemaking teen Sophia Choi for the past six months, is being replaced by Rachel Boyd.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Rachel Boyd’s First Day As Sophia Is February 12th
Boyd’s first day as Sophia is February 12th. We wonder if Days is taking the soap in another direction since the role is being recast. Right now, Sophia and Tate Black (Leo Howard) are in a bit of a bind due to her mother, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson), forbidding her daughter to have an abortion.
Sophia and Tate were on their way out of state to have the procedure when Holly wanted to know what was going on between them. She left to let them speak in private.
Sophia appears to be telling the truth that she’s pregnant, considering she threw up in the trash can at Horton Square in front of her mother and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
The scared teen didn’t intend for this to happen, despite her best efforts to take Tate away from Holly Jonas (Ashely Puzemis). Amy went directly to Tate’s and insisted that she and Tate get married and raise the baby.
Tate and Holly have been through a lot and have just found their way back together, but this situation with Sophia is bound to come between them.
Whether Sophia gives the baby up for adoption or has the child and raises it, Holly likely won’t be too pleased that her bestie is having her boyfriend’s baby. She could also miscarry, which would be tragic. No matter how the soap goes, the material will be meaty for the newcomer.
The soap’s decision to recast the character may mean a shake-up is in the works between Sophia, Tate, and Holly, and potentially, the baby Sophia is carrying.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Alice Hasley Will Play Kristen DiMera’s Daughter, Rachel Black
Madelyn Kientz performed her role beautifully and should be commended for her work on Days. She makes Sophia an empathetic and relatable character despite her scheming to snatch Tate up from Holly.
Sophia’s friendship with Ava was the icing on the cake, and we’ll miss Madelyn Kietnz’s brilliant interpretation of the character. That being said, we look forward to seeing what Rachel Boyd brings to the role.
Finley Rose Slater, who has played Rachel Black since 2021, is being replaced by Alice Halsey. Rachel Black’s mom, the deliciously entertaining. Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) was recently accused of sending threatening texts to Ava. Avva is interested in her father, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
In a fun twist, it was Rachel sending those texts. The little girl wants her mom and dad back together, and she makes a very “Kristen-type” move and sends ominous texts to her mom’s romantic rival.
We don’t know what this means for the character or if they are taking her in a different direction. Maybe the switch causes Rachel to change her bratty ways.
