‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal that Billy Flynn’s final airdate on DOOL was reported by Soap Opera Digest earlier today. Flynn’s Chad DiMera officially exits from Salem on Tuesday, February 17th.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Fans Will Always Remember Billy Flynn’s Chad and His Epic Romance with Abigail
We are so sad to see Flynn leave his role, as he plays Chad with relatability, charm, and heart. The shocking news that Flynn was leaving DOOL, to head to Genoa City and play a mystery role on The Young and the Restless, was first reported in March 2025.
Since DOOL has an unorthodox filming schedule, Flynn has still been appearing as Chad DiMera on DOOL for nearly a year after the announcement was made.

That mystery role on Y&R turned out to be Cane Ashby. Flynn has been on Y&R since July 2025. On February 17th, Flynn is officially off DOOL this coming Tuesday. He is taking his children to Arizona for a change of scenery.
Flynn has portrayed Chad on the Peacock soap since September 2014. He took over the part from Casey Diedrick. Flynn’s run as Chad and impact on DOOL were meaningful, memorable, and significant. The actor portrays the perfect Romeo.
Fans will always remember him best for his epic romance with Abigail Deveraux DiMera (first played by Kate Mansi, then Marci Miller).

During Billy Flynn’s time on DOOL, he earned three Daytime Emmy Award nominations in the Lead Actor category.
Former Y&R actor, Conner Floyd, who played Chance Chancellor, will assume the role of Chad on April 21st. In addition to Flynn leaving DOOL, a few other actors will no longer be seen in Salem.
Cary Christpher, who plays Thomas DiMera, will also be leaving, along with Autumn Gendron, who plays Charlotte DiMera. Christopher and Gendron, who play Chad’s children on the show, will leave with their on-screen father.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Thomas and Charlotte Will Be Recast, and Michael Roark Is Done as Jeremy
However, once Chad returns to Salem with his kids, the roles of Thomas and Charlotte will be recast. There is much speculation that Chad’s kids will be SORASED, which is soap speak for “suddenly aged up.” They may come back to Salem older than when they left.
Also, Michael Roark, who plays Jeremy Horton, is leaving DOOL. February 17th will also be his last day. We suspect Jeremy wants to get out of dodge since he’s been accused of stalking Stephanie Johnson Kiriakis (Abigail Klein).

When Flynn’s departure from DOOL was announced, the actor told TV Insider,
“I am grateful for my many years at DAYS. It changed my life in the best ways.”
He continued,
“I’ve always said that these stories we tell are like doing a play, and I’ve spent the last 10-years plus playing this amazing character and telling one of the all-time great love stories.”
Of course, he was referring to Chad and Abby.

Flynn added,
“And now I’m excited for this new opportunity to test myself in a new way.”
He screen-tested with Kate Mansi, and the casting director couldn’t help but notice their chemistry. And the rest is history.
We will definitely miss Billy Flynn’s flawless portrayal of “The Good DiMera,” Chad. Flynn’s portrayal of Chad has been a pleasure to watch.
