‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that writers aren’t shy when it comes to couple foreshadowing and this week we’ve been privy to Allie and Tripp getting closer.
No one disputes Allie deserves a little happiness- the girl has had a tough time since appearing in Salem in June of last year, but is it really believable that she could do a 180 and go from accusing Tripp of rape to scribbling his name all over her journal?
Or more importantly, can Tripp really forgive Allie for dragging his name through the mud and holding a gun to him?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams)- Cute Couple or Disaster in the Works?
In real life the answers would be “no” and “hell no”, but this isn’t real life, this is a place where Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) forgave Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) for switching out her dead baby for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) newborn…and then she asked him to marry her.
Salem is the place where the Neck-Tie Killer, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) ends up marrying the town’s darling, Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), while one of his strangled victims, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) now very much alive, stood up as Ben’s best man.
And this is a show where one of the fan’s favorite super couples started with EJ DiMera (James Scott) raping his eventual wife, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). At least Tripp didn’t actually assault Allie, no matter that he was accused of the crime.
However, while we are seeing Allie trip head over heels for Tripp, so far he has only shown interest in getting closer to his nephew. Tripp already shut Allie down once in London. Could Allie be heading towards heart break instead of happily ever after?
