According to reports, Claudia returned to the American Idol stage on Sunday with a new transformation and a new attitude. Apparently, she is determined to impress both the judges and America and she certainly did that with her performance of River by Bishop Briggs.
Claudia Conway Leaves Katy Perry Speechless During American Idol Performance
When Claudia first appeared on stage, everyone seemed rather surprised by her new dark locks and her mature ensemble. “I’m sorry, excuse me, what?” Katy Perry said in awe as Claudia smiled for the cameras.
“Yeah, it’s a little change,” Claudia said, laughing as she ran a hand through her dark locks.
Claudia then explained that after her first audition she got a lot of backlash but also support from social media. But she says it was Katy Perry’s words and advice at the first audition in Ojai, California, that helped her focus and stay motivated.
“She believed in me, and I could not be more grateful for that,” she shared. “Now I’m just trying it all out to telling myself I can do it.”
As many fans know by now, Claudia Conway has achieved popularity on TikTok amid a contentious relationship with her mother, who left her White House job last summer to focus on family.
After Kellyanne’s announced her resignation as a senior aide to President Donald Trump, Claudia, who has expressed her disdain for Trump several times on social media, wrote on Twitter, “Words are not enough to express my love for my following. You are all amazing. Thank you for the support and love. May you feel my love and peace back. I am taking a break to process this recent news and to stabilize my mental health.”
Backstage, Kellyanne hugged her daughter and sang “This girl is on fire, this girl is on fire.”
