The popularity of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the US has declined enormously. In fact, they have experienced “the biggest plummet in popularity in history.”
The Popularity Of Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Has Taken A Nosedive
Ever since they stepped down as working royals in January 2020, they have done nothing but practice an exercise in shameless self-promotion.
It’s evident that they compete with the royal family for attention. It’s no coincidence that on the very same day that Kate Middleton was set to make an appearance at Trooping the Color, Meghan unveiled her new raspberry jam and dog biscuits through her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan doesn’t want to be number two to Princess Kate. That’s likely part of the reason why the couple left the UK. They were merely the “Spare” and his American wife in Britain.
Britain saw through Meghan’s game almost right away. Now, Americans are realizing who and what she is. A Gov poll released this past April revealed that Meghan is the second least favorite royal. The only one less favorable is Prince Andrew.
Eighty-six percent of respondents see Andrew negatively. Meghan was 64 percent, and Harry fell just below his wife, as 61 percent think negatively about him. The numbers are probably even worse now.
Harry used to be one of the favorite royals, but his approval has taken a nosedive since he undermined and talked trash about his own family for publicity.
Also, Harry and Meghan have no steam regarding the “exciting projects” they have “lined up.” To be successful with any project, whether it’s their failed Spotify deal or their string of lackluster Netflix shows, they must know how to budget the project and properly hire the right people.
The Sussexes Have Become A Source Of Ridicule And Mockery
Many people in Hollywood have a strong creative vision, but Harry and Meghan pretend to. Harry’s main problem is that he lacks purpose.
He has nothing else but the Invictus Games to cling to to make himself relevant, while Meghan is a liar and a narcissist. The couple’s appeal has diminished significantly, and their conduct is offensive.
The Sussexes have become a source of mockery in the US. South Park made fun of them for leaving the UK because of the alleged bad press and intrusion on their privacy, and they came to the US to promote themselves and garner publicity for doing nothing.
Family Guy made fun of them because “no one knows what” they are talented at. Yet, the Duke of Sussex has resorted to collecting American awards like the Pat Tillman Award.
The Invictus Games is an admirable cause, but Pat Tillman was an American hero who sacrificed a multi-million-dollar football contract and died in the line of fire, saving his fellow soldiers. Harry has nothing that even comes close to that on his resume.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle must achieve something worthwhile if they plan to rebrand themselves. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have difficulty accepting that Americans are sick of them.
The “novelty” of having former working royals like Harry and Meghan living in the US has worn off long ago, and Americans no longer favor the “f***ing grifters.”
