British Royal Family News find that it looks like there is two sides of a story, with the truth lying somewhere in the middle.
While Meghan Markle insists that it was Kate Middleton who made her cry before her wedding to Prince Harry back in 2018, royal tipsters behind the scenes say that their dust up left the Duchess of Cambridge in years, too.
That, and doors were apparently slammed and flowers were thrown in the garbage. In fact, some royal critics believe that Meghan might have some sort of ‘borderline obsession’ with Kate Middleton and the fact that they were never treated on the same level.
This, despite the fact that Kate is married to the future King of England while Meghan married the spare to the heir. Here’s what you need to know.
British Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Reportedly Slammed The Door In Kate Middleton’s Face And Threw Away Her Flowers
In her explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan cleared the air about a story that was previously reported alleging that she made Kate Middleton cry ahead of her wedding over a disagreement about Princess Charlotte’s flower girl dress.
Even though the press suggested that it was Meghan who made Kate cry, she said that “the reverse happened” but stated that the beef between them was quickly squashed.
“That was a turning point,” the 39-year-old said. Meghan explained that a few days before the wedding, Middleton was upset about the flower girl dress that her daughter, Princess Charlotte, was meant to wear.
“It made me cry and it really hurt my feelings,” Meghan explained to Oprah. “And I thought in the context of everything else that was going on in those days leading to the wedding that it didn’t make sense to not be just doing whatever everyone else was doing, which was trying to be supportive.”
Yet, it seems like there is more to the story. One source told the Daily Mail this week, “Giving her account of this apparently petty incident, Meghan insisted she was not ‘sharing’ it to be ‘disparaging’ to Kate.
The duchess, she said had ‘owned it’, had ‘apologized’, and ‘brought me flowers and a note’. But within 24 hours of the Oprah interview being aired, another account of the episode was at odds with Meghan’s version.
The Times newspaper reported that Kate had indeed left the dress fitting in tears. The following day, she reportedly took flowers to Nottingham Cottage — Harry and Meghan’s home at Kensington Palace at the time — as a peace offering. The newspaper claimed that Meghan slammed the door in Kate’s face. Meghan had also thrown the flowers away.”
So far Kate Middleton herself has not said anything about the ordeal, although it’s doubtful that anything will be said at this point.
