British Royal Family News says that Meghan Markle is certainly happy to be back home again, however, things are certainly not the same as things were years before. Meghan appeared in a conversation with co-founder and CEO of The 19th*, Emily Ramshaw, last week. The two of them discussed the effects of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor’s death.

“To come back and to just see this state of affairs, I think at the onset, if I’m being honest, it was just devastating,” she said. “It was so sad to see where our country was in that moment.”
The former Hollywood actress also said that she is very much looking forward to using her voice for causes that matter such as voting and women’s rights. It’s been noted that one of the reasons why the Duchess of Sussex felt so frustrated behind the scenes at Buckingham Palace was because she oftentimes felt voiceless and that she also couldn’t defend herself from all of the lies and allegations that were spread about her by the British tabloid media. But Meghan does believe that there are bright days ahead.
“If there’s any silver lining in that, I would say that in the weeks after the murder of George Floyd, in the peaceful protests that you were seeing, in the voices that were coming out, in the way that people were actually owning their role… it shifted from sadness to a feeling of absolute inspiration, because I can see that the tide is turning,” Markle explained.
