Actor Columbus Short is in a lot of trouble as prosecutors are officially going after the ‘Stomp the Yard’ actor following his arrest for domestic violence. He had been arrested earlier this month after cops were called to his home over an argument he was having with his wife that had allegedly gotten physical.
His case was presented for felony charges but has been pushed down to the City Attorney who charged him with 2 misdemeanors. One for domestic violence and one for child endangerment. He got hit with the child endangerment charge as the alleged fight took place in front of a child.
Actor Columbus Short Charged With 2 Misdemeanors For Domestic Violence
Police say that he didn’t have any marks or bruises, though he claimed his wife had punched him in the face. However, they noticed his wife had minor injuries which was a scratch on her finger. This sounds awfully familiar to the case that Adrian Peterson is currently facing (almost exactly), complete with the scratch on the finger and everything.
Short has had trouble with addiction issues in the past and it’s said his family is his priority as he focuses on getting back to sobriety.
He has had previous arrested, including a bar fight in 2014 as well as domestic violence in 2018.
Whether or not he will be convicted is unknown and it could be thrown out of the city court as well. We’ll keep an eye on the situation as it continues.
