ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has been a thorn in several people’s sides. First, she was creating a headache for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as her tried to help Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab).
Now, she’s moved on to making Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) life fun. Honestly, we’re a bit over her and here’s why. Plus, we have to give props to a job well-done involving Gladys today.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Problematic
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate that Gladys is a headache for almost anyone who comes into contact with her. And while we’re not exactly having a problem with her causing Carly trouble, we do think she needs to take a step back and re-evaluate her entitlement.
First, she’d been compensated for what she did for Sonny, and there was no condition to come and be a part of the family. She took a lot of that upon herself in her quest for more. But we take more exception to her latest.
She seems to think she’s owed something now. Sure, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal she almost died helping them take down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). But who put her in that position? Gladys.
She was the one who got close to Cyrus to start with and lied for him. Despite Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) telling her she should keep her distance. So, we think helping save her son’s life should be enough reward.
Again, she was the one who helped make things worse in several ways. So, this entitled thing really needs to stop. At this point, she should be thankful she’s not doing time for lying to the police. Something that was worked out on her behalf.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Too bad, so sad
Today, Gladys was denied a seat at the Jason Morgan/Carly Corinthos (Steve Burton/Laura Wright) wedding. With Brando also refusing to work for the business, she is feeling a bit slighted. And Brando made it worse when he apparently made it clear she needs to find somewhere to go. Once the baby’s here, he’s going to need that room.
Honestly, she deserves a lot of this. But she, of course, made it Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson). Brando insisted it has nothing to do with Sasha, it’s a space issue and the baby will need somewhere to sleep.
It’s typical with her. She seems to be focusing a lot on Sasha and we’d seen her as a threat to any relationship between Sasha and Brando. Except, maybe Gladys has underestimated her opponent.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Played like a fiddle
It’s funny. Sasha hasn’t really known Gladys very long. Somehow, though, she seems to know Gladys better than her own son. When Gladys was fretting about having to move and not having a job, Sasha stepped in to offer a place at Deception. Gladys scoffed at the idea. It’s basically a secretary job. However, Sasha knew exactly what to do.
With expert precision, Sasha sold that job as being part of a glamorous business that would bring her some glory as well. Plus, she agreed to some free product. Just like that, Gladys was on board and even excited to start her new career.
Even Brando had to applaud Sasha’s efforts when Gladys left, and we love it! Sasha knew handling Gladys means appealing to her vanity, her sense of being part of something important.
And let’s not forget the money. We’re looking forward to seeing how Sasha continues to handle Gladys in the future, and if Brando will learn anything from Sasha’s example. Because he’s got to learn how to deal with her at some point.
