ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal some characters got a big shock on Tuesday. This is something that will likely play into the story for a while, and might make some fans unhappy. Let’s talk about the twist in the GH world, and how it’s likely to play out over the coming weeks.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Missing
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) put himself on the line Tuesday. He confessed to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) he killed Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
This was after he explained the confrontation and brought her down to the former lab. It took Anna a moment, and we think she honestly didn’t want to believe Peter was really dead and Finn did it. More, we believe, for Finn’s sake than Peter’s.
Anyway, to prove what he was saying, Finn and Anna opened the freezer to find it empty. One would think Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) got the job done. Except he didn’t. In the same episode, he told Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) he didn’t find a body in that freezer. So, we’re left with two options.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: A or B?
The first option would be that Peter’s body was moved by someone else. It’s a possibility, but we’re not really seeing it being feasible. Who would know and want to do something like that? No, we think another option is far more likely.
That being Peter’s alive. General Hospital spoilers reveal Elizabeth checked him over and said he was dead. But this was a really hard day. They’d been fighting to save Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Elizabeth was carrying a lot of anger with her for what happened to Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
So, could it have been wishful thinking on her part? A pulse that was too faint for her to detect? Or does Peter know tricks to play dead? It’s all possible, and we think he eventually left the freezer and lab on his own.
It would have taken time to discover all the cameras Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) had taken down and get them running again. So, that could have given a window for Peter to escape.
Either that, or someone on the take hadn’t been sniffed out yet, so they helped Peter get out/deleted any footage of his escape. After aligning with Cyrus, it’s definitely an option, even if Cyrus was just using him for a while.
Honestly, Cyrus could be working with Peter still. We said before they were cheering victory over Cyrus a little too fast. With all he’s accomplished, they really think there’s no chance he could get into contact with someone? That there wouldn’t be people who might still be loyal? It seemed like too fast and easy a victory.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What we think
So, if ‘General Hospital’ spoilers end up revealing Peter is alive, we’re honestly going to be a bit disappointed. Peter was around for quite a while and we believe it was time for his scam to end already.
And dying by the hands of a person Peter hurt felt like a natural and appropriate end for the character. Now, we can’t be sure of how things will turn out if he’s alive, and we could end up enjoying what’s in store. But for now, we think this was one death that should stay that way.
