ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal the truth is now out. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) couldn’t take it anymore and finally came clean about being the stalker. However, he didn’t get the forgiveness he was hoping for. Let’s take a look at what happened, why Laura Webber (Genie Francis) might have her work cut out for her, and what Chavez himself had to say about the situation in Soap Opera Digest.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The reveal
So, General Hospital spoilers reveal there were a couple of times where it seemed Spencer was ready to tell the truth. However, circumstances gave him an out—temporarily. First, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) torched Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) car, making everyone believe Nikolas was wrong about accusing Spencer of stalking Ava. Then, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) showed up just as Spencer was on the verge of opening up to Cameron Webber (William Lipton).
Of course, Esme’s lie about Nikolas and Ava leaving her daughter infuriated her father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). As we mentioned in another one, this was a moment where Spencer could no longer keep quiet. But it didn’t pay off. Nikolas was shocked and angered by the truth. So much so, he kicked Spencer out of the house. This is where things are apparently going to get interesting.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: On Spencer
In a recent interview, Chavez opened up about Nikolas’ reaction and what it means for Spencer. Said the actor, “The way he sees it (getting kicked out/disowned) is ridiculous. It’s the pot calling the kettle black.” We can’t exactly disagree after all Nikolas has done.
Chavez went on to say he believes his character feels he just, “held a mirror up to them and showed them how they behaved and treated me like an outcast.” He also revealed that this was another instance of choosing Ava over Spencer, so this will lead to war.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What we see
Now, from what the actor said, it sounds like Spencer is about to take a very dark turn. It’s understandable and not at the same time. He’s definitely hurt and feeling abandoned, but he also doesn’t see to realize how bad what he did is. It was about way more than making Ava leave.
He implied a threat against a child and happily took the out the car fire gave him, not knowing Esme did it. That was, in our opinion, irresponsible. However, Nikolas might have a lot to answer for.
We believe as soon as Laura comes back, she’ll tear into both of them for their actions. But we do believe Laura should (and will likely) point out how he made them all suffer for years over his non-death just so he can pull one over on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). And Nikolas better pray his other sins since returning to Port Charles (and the past) don’t come back to haunt him.
Because he really won’t have much to say after people learned he tried to kill Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig). Or that he also kept a mother from her child when he scared Hayden out of town under false pretenses.
