ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal the official YouTube released a new promo. Called, “Burning Love,” it focuses on the couples of the show. Much like some of the clips they released during the preemption drama, however, it seems like a “for the heck of it” promo that has nothing to do with the coming week’s story or the coming days’. Also, like the promos, it got a bit of a mixed reaction. Let’s break it down.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Promo
As we said, it really doesn’t feel as though it will have an impact on the week’s stories. We see a collection of photos (some fans are pointing out a few promo pics are new, while others aren’t) mixed with a few show clips. The focus is on everything from JaSam to CarSon, as well as everyone in between. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) for example. They also show Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). The problem is, all of these clips are old. They even show Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) before switching to one of her and Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). Accompanied by a cover of “Burning Love” by Elvis Presley, it’s a somewhat cute clip but feels like a half-hearted effort. Fans are speaking out.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Reaction
It didn’t take long for the comments to come pouring in. Some were upset at the cheap feel of the video, comparing it to random picture videos almost anyone could put up. One user asked what the point was, as there were only old clips included and said the show “sucks”. Another one pointed out how this is the type of thing they release when they have no true promo set to go. Still, others were happy with the video.
There were several fire emoji comments, as well as people expressing their love for JaSam. However, just as many seemed to be out of patience with that pairing. Some expressed the belief that Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) is clearly phoning it in these days, and doesn’t appear to like the Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) pairing. We do agree that we find them a bit boring. Others are hopeful the promo means there will be a return to focusing on “love in the afternoon.”
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Our Thoughts
This made us think of some of the recent couples on the show, and we’re going to agree with those who find Curtis and Jordan a bit boring, although we expect a turn around soon, as we think this whole Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) situation will lead to a change in Jordan that will impact the pairing.
Another couple lately we like is Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). We think she’ll be good for Michael as he continues to navigate this situation with Wiley, and we think they’re fun together overall. We also like Nina and Jax together, as he seems to be loosening Nina up. Her character’s needed it, for sure. And it’s just never going to work having her with a guy whole will clearly never learn, as seems to be Valentin’s case.
