ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers for January 16th reveal Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) have a bitter pill to swallow. First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal Michael probably would rather do anything but give the news he’s got to give, but he has no choice. So, when Willow continues to order Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) out, he’ll tell her, “You need to hear what she has to say.” And the fact she and Nina are mother and daughter will leave Willow in a state of disbelief.
We actually think she might try to fight the idea and taking anything from Nina, but Nina will remain resolved. She’ll warn Willow, “Your life may depend on me.” And we’re pretty sure Nina won’t back down until Willow’s out of danger. We can see where saving Willow will be even more important to her, as she was unable to do anything for Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).

Meanwhile, Spencer meets with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) And the promo gives us the reason why. In it, he tells Diane, “This baby will never know any of its parents.” So obviously he’s planning to get custody of his half-sibling, rather than allow the father he hates to get a do-over. And we honestly can’t blame Spencer. Neither Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) or Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) are the most stable people—especially Esme. And after the awesome job Nikolas has already done, we shudder to think how he might mess up with another.

In other ‘General Hospital’ spoilers, Curtis advises Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Given the conversation they had last time, it’s not hard to know what this is about! We’re sure Portia thinks she’s doing the right thing by interfering in Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) friendship with Spencer. But Curtis will warn her, “You might end up doing the exact opposite.” We’re surprised that hasn’t occurred to her already, as Trina’s been very clear about her desire for boundaries since she started college. And, to be honest, we hardly think Portia is one to be passing moral judgments on Spencer at this point, given the secret she’s keeping.

Finally, Carly already had to suck it up and tell Nina the truth, which we know was torture for her, but there was no choice left. Now, she’ll have to tell Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) about it as well. In the promo, he asks Carly, “What do you have to feel guilty about?”
