‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Ava Jerome (Maura West) may have a secret agenda with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). Ava is a very cunning and formidable woman.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Has Been Out of the Mob Game for Years
It stands to reason that whatever Ava wants from Jenz is more than meets the eye. Right now, it looks like there are romantic sparks between Ava and Sidwell, but is there more to it?
Ava has been out of the mob game for years. Back when Ava first arrived in Port Charles, she worked alongside her brother, Julian Jerome (William deVry), in the Jerome crime organization to reclaim their territory from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
She cleverly used her art-dealer persona to conceal her deep involvement in the mob. She initially teamed up with her brother to target Sonny.
However, it seems like Ava gave up that life for her young daughter, Avery Jerome Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola). However, we all know that Ava misses the power and wealth that come with being part of that life.
Aligning herself with Sidwell may be a strategic move for her. Perhaps there is a hint of romantic interest on Ava’s part; she may be seeking to achieve a much higher goal.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Has Been Proving Her Loyalty to Sidwell
In the April 15th episode of GH, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) tried to warn Ava that Sidwell is a very dangerous man who can’t be trusted. The mayor was griping over Sidwell’s helicopter flight path.
However, Ava defended Jenz and reminded Laura that Sidwell was grieving the loss of his son, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo), and needed work as a distraction from his intense pain.
She also told Laura that helping Sidwell with his flight path may improve relations between her and Jenz. Ava also added, “Whatever Sidwell wants, Sidwell gets.”
Ava went directly to Wyndemere to inform Sidwell about her conversation with Laura. Of course, Sidwell was grateful.
Clearly, Ava has been busy proving her loyalty and value to Jenz, but to what end? Knowing Ava, she has a self-seeking, hidden purpose.
Plus, Ava has been on this playground before. If there is any woman other than Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) who understands the mob world and lives in Port Charles, it’s Ava Jerome.
When Sidwell asked Ava her opinion on Sonny, she reminded him that he’s Avery’s father. He loves his kids and would do anything for them.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Has Greatly Impressed Sidwell
However, Sonny also killed Ava’s brother, Julian. Ava is a worldly woman of many talents. One of them is being subtle about who her enemies are.
Has she snuck up on her enemies and killed them in the past? Sure. Ava’s knowledge of the inner workings of the mob would be an asset to Sidwell’s organization.
She could be Sidwell’s right-hand man. Ava has considerable charm and even got Jenz to laugh with an amusing story about surviving her epic fall from the parapet of Wyndemere.
In the next moment, Ava was the rock that Jenz needed when he learned that beloved son, Marco had been stabbed to death.
Additionally, Ava has greatly impressed Sidwell. While she seems to truly care about Jenz, Ava also has self-serving motives. She seems intoxicated by Sidwell’s power.
Ava could also be looking out for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) during his stay at Wyndemere. When Sidwell inevitably accuses Lucas of offing his lover, Ava will be there to talk Jenz out of it.
However, Ava’s main goal is likely to live in the lap of luxury once again. A few months ago, Ava had some financial trouble. Is Ava slyly trying to gain Sidwell’s trust for reasons other than purely an attraction?
