General Hospital spoilers suggest that Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) may have broken the law one too many times.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Alexis Needs To Be Done With Coddling Kristina
We have to wonder how long this mother and daughter duo can continue to evade punishment for their numerous crimes.
While Kristina’s recklessness doesn’t surprise us at all, we are shocked by Alexis’s actions. Alexis was lucky to reclaim her law license after being disbarred.
Yet, she’s constantly breaking the law and coddling Kristina, protecting her hopelessly impulsive and unstable daughter, even if it means disregarding her better judgment.
Kristina cut the brakes on Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) car, thinking it belonged to Ava Jerome (Maura West). She almost killed Ric and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).
Ava blackmailed Alexis and coerced her into stealing little Ace Cassadine’s (Jay and Joey Clay) inheritance and funneling it into her account.
Of course, if Alexis didn’t agree to this unlawful act, Ava would turn her in for attempted murder. Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) tried to convince Alexis to commit Kristina.
However, when Alexis saw that Kristina and Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) were bonding again as sisters, she opted instead to go along with Ava’s blackmail scheme.
Ava brought Ric into the mix as they were both blackmailing Alexis for the Cassadine fortune. Then, Kristina had the asinine idea to hire Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) to seduce Ava.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Ava Doubles Down On Blackmail
Kristina’s goal was to get them to turn on each other, and her plan actually worked. Additionally, Alexis approved of Kristina’s scheme.
However, Cody came clean with both Ava and Molly. She found Ava and Cody making out at the Quartermaine stables. Molly wanted to ask Cody out on a casual date for coffee. Now Molly is set to confront Kristina.
Fast forward to this week, when Ric informed Ava that her accounts were frozen. Ric took the money for himself and cashed it into bonds.
Ava was enraged and slammed Ric over the head with a marble ornamental globe in front of a shocked Kristina. Alexis walked in and found her ex-husband knocked out on the floor.
Of course, Ava saw this as another opportunity to blackmail Alexis and Kristina. She told them she would go to the police about Kristina cutting the brakes on Ric’s car if they didn’t help her silence Ric.
In a move so ridiculous it’s difficult to even believe, Alexis once again agreed to appease Ava and help her in exchange for her unhinged daughter’s freedom.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Alexis’s Behavior Doesn’t Make Sense
Inexplicably, they moved Ric into the basement of Alexis’s home, chained him to a bed, and stuffed his mouth with a ball gag.
In the August 27th episode of GH, Alexis was standing over Ric as he came to. She told him she had made yet another deal with Ava to protect her daughter.
Ric told Alexis he wouldn’t press charges if she let him go. Yet, Alexis once again deduced that allowing Ava to hold Kristina’s crimes over her head was the better option.
Ric told Alexis that even if she didn’t kill him, Ava would. Alexis promised the attorney she wouldn’t let that happen. Instead, she gloated to him that no one would miss him other than Molly.
So, Alexis, Kristina, and Ava have left Ric in the basement, chained to the bed. We know Ric did this to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) decades ago when she was pregnant with Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) child.
However, Alexis is supposed to be a law-abiding citizen and someone who’s a defender of justice and good.
Yet, she’s literally lost her mind in a horrendously misguided effort to protect Kristina. What in the world does she think will happen once she’s no longer holding Ric captive?
Ric will sing like a canary. How do Kristina and Alexis expect to get away with this? We know Ava is a cunning woman and a criminal, but Alexis’s behavior makes zero sense.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Elizabeth May Soon Discover Rick’s Predicament
If she had just let Diane defend Kristina, and she went for a stint in a mental facility, none of this would be happening.
Now, Alexis is on the hook for embezzlement and kidnapping, and Kristina can’t get away with attempted murder forever.
Secrets like this on soaps always come out. We have a feeling that somehow Elizabeth will be the one to find Ric. After all, Liz was the one to find Carly all those years ago. Unfortunately, this appears to be Ric’s karma.
Liz even warned Kristina that if she found out that Kristina ever did anything like what she had done to her and Ric again, she would be toast.
Plus, Liz may go looking for Ric since he’s Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) lawyer in her custody case. For some reason, Elizabeth has extended a significant amount of grace toward Willow.
We know Liz is a good person with strong moral character. If she somehow discovers Ric is being held captive in Alexis’s basement, she won’t keep that quiet.
We can’t imagine them evading the law much longer. What Alexis is doing is foolish and defies logic. Kristina should have received professional help a long time ago.
She still hasn’t dealt with the trauma of losing her baby. Instead, Kristina sued Ava, wasting time and legal resources in an attempt to punish her when Ava hadn’t pushed her out that window.
We think the time may be up for Alexis and Kristina’s shenanigans. What they are doing to protect Kristina’s secret is simply insane. For that matter, as much as we love Ava, her day of reckoning must be coming soon.
