Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently announced a new Girl Scout project after the Duchess’s epic “With Love Meghan” failure.
Meghan’s Show Seems Like It Should Be Simpler to Produce
Critics savaged Meghan’s holiday special, calling it boring and painful to watch. She filmed both seasons of “With Love, Meghan” back-to-back, yet acted as if the show had been renewed for a second season.
During the holiday special, filmed over a year ago, she shared an Advent calendar from the previous year, which was quite weird.
A show like Meghan’s should be so much simpler to produce. There were seven editors for Meghan’s holiday special, which was only one hour long.
It speaks to a level of development hell on Meghan’s end. Seven editors for a project like “With Love, Meghan” is unheard of.
The team had to cut 900 hours of raw footage to make the exceptional work. Meghan obviously isn’t a good creator and needs a boatload of people for simple tasks.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex is set to take her “Cookie Queens” movie to the Sundance Film Festival. The film will premiere at Sundance, which runs from late January to early February in Utah. The director of the documentary is Alysa Nahmais.
Of course, Harry and Meghan’s Archewell is involved with the project. It’s literally like the dish soap commercial all over again.
Meghan Shared a Pic of Herself with Her Girl Scout Group
To coincide with her announcement, Meghan also shared a throwback pic of herself as a child with her mother and her Girl Scout group.
The Duchess claims to have a special place in her heart for the Girl Scouts because her mother, Doria Ragland, was her troop leader when she was a kid.
Meghan also shared a throwback pic of herself as a child, posing with the rest of her troop. In Meghan’s world, everything has to revolve around her.
Harry and Meghan have attached themselves to a dying industry. If you look at Harry and Meghan’s Netflix projects, it becomes obvious.
Netflix tends to make content, which means it’s all designed to be mindlessly folded laundry or catch up on your e-mails while watching it.
Most of what Harry and Meghan have produced has been practically unwatchable. It may be tolerable, but it’s never anything overly entertaining.
The documentary follows four young girls as they compete in a friendly contest to see who sells the most cookies.
Meghan’s goal is to show the hard work and pressure the Girl Scouts face, which sounds borderline ridiculous.
Having Harry and Meghan’s Names on the Project Could Potentially Hurt It
Everything Meghan produces must have some personal connection to her. If you’re a creator, you should be able to see beyond yourself. She lacks quality creative instincts.
Having Harry and Meghan’s names attached to the project will make many people avoid it. Their audience is tiny and not a good metric.
Meghan had this to say about their new Girl Scout film, Cookie Queens.
“As a former Girl Scout myself, with my mom as my troop leader, I have a personal affinity for this film, and I am proud that all our conversations and collaboration have led to Archewell Productions partnering with this award -winning team to executive produce this incredibly captivating documentary.”
She continued,
“When we first viewed the early footage of this documentary, it was immediately something we wanted to be involved in. The creative point of view, the edgy, yet humanizing tone and tenor of the directing, and the glimpse behind the scenes into such a nostalgic and also modern tradition of Girl Scout cookie season are absolutely irresistible.”
