Kate Middleton attended this year’s Wimbledon tennis tournament at the All England Tennis and Croquet Club earlier today and received an emotional standing ovation.

The crowd clapped and cheered as the Princess of Wales stepped into the royal box. The Princess of Wales smiled brightly and sat next to tennis legend Billie Jean King.

On Kate’s right sat another tennis champion, Martina Navratilova. Amanda Anisimova was in tears as she received a brutal beating courtesy of Iga Swiatek as Swiatek won the final.

The score was 6-0, 6-0, with the higher score being achieved by Swiatek. Kate is the chosen patron of the All-England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

The Princess presented the runner-up trophy to Anisimova, who struggled to hold back her tears. The tennis player had to leave the court following the game.

She documented a double bagel scoreline in the women’s final, which was the first in 114 years in 1911. It only occurred one other time in Grand Slam history.

Anisimova broke down in tears as she admitted that her mother flew in from America to watch her play.

Anisimova said, “I know I didn’t have enough today, but I will keep putting in the work, and I hope to be back here one day.”

The only other time there had been a 6-0. The 6-0 scoreline was in a Grand Slam final in 1988 when Steffi Graf beat Natasha Zvereva in the French Open.

Kate looked stunning when she arrived at Wimbledon this morning, wearing an elegant cream ensemble that included a high-collared top, a flowing skirt, and a Wimbledon bow as the cherry on top.

The bow featured the official colors of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, which are purple and green.

Wimbledon Attracts A Mix Of Royal Family Members And Celebrities

Wimbledon is a favorite family pastime for the Middletons. Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole, were seen in the Royal Box on Monday. Kate has a deep passion for tennis. She’s loved the sport since she was young.

The Wimbledon tournament resumes on Sunday. And runs until July 13th. Kate is expected to attend again tomorrow. Wimbledon is a significant event on the royal calendar. Members of the royal family attend each year.

Wimbledon attracts a mix of royals and celebrities. Some of the members of the royal family who attended this year include Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Lady Gabriella Kingston, and Queen Camilla.

Some of the celebrities who attended include Ellie Goulding, Hugh Grant, Jodie Foster, Sienna Miller, Olivia Rodrigo, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Rebel Wilson, Cate Blanchett, Jessica Alba, and David Beckham.

Princess Kate is a sports enthusiast and a devout athlete. She encourages children to take part in the game. Kate’s kids play tennis and have even taken tennis lessons.

Prince William and Kate have a tennis court at their country residence, Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where the Wales family enjoys playing the sport together. In 2015, they upgraded the court.

William has admitted that he can’t beat Kate. It was terrific for royal fans to see Kate as her appearance at Wimbledon is part of a slow and measured return to her royal duties.
