‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers confirm that the door is shut for Michael Easton’s return to the show as Hamilton Finn. “I think there was a finality to my exit, and there was finality for me to it, too,” Easton said about a potential return in a recent interview.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Finn May Have an Accident On His Way Home From Rehab

Finn’s stint in rehab is supposed to last only three months, but if Easton isn’t coming back, what does that mean for Finn? Unfortunately, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) may lose her dad after losing her grandpa.

    Finn says goodbye to Violet

It’s a harsh reality for such a sweet little girl, but the writers need to explain Finn’s exit in a way that makes sense. It would never make sense for Finn to leave Violet and never return.

Violet is enjoying her summer stay at the Quartermaine mansion. There, she can do many outdoor activities, have fun, and get to be a kid.

It would have to take Finn’s death to separate him and Violet, as it looks like the show is gearing up for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to adopt Violet at some point formally.

Several scenarios may play out for this to occur. Tragedy may strike Finn and his family. Finn could die in a car accident on the way home from rehab trying to get to Violet.

Finn could also have a heart attack or some other medical issue that may cause his death. The potential reasons for his death don’t matter, but what does is that either way, Violet will lose her father.

It’s also possible that Finn could rejoin Doctors Without Borders, but that doesn’t add up because he would never willingly leave Violet behind.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Easton And Love Shared A Bond

Easton said that a GH return isn’t in the cards for him, at least in the near future. It’s possible they could recast it, but Easton is too valuable of an actor for the show to let his talent go to waste.

Interestingly, Easton played three different characters during his time in Port Charles. John McBain, Silas Clay, and Finn.

'General Hospital' Spoilers: Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) Needs To Come Out Of Hiding And Share His News

At the time of his exit, Easton got to play a great story, and he did so beautifully. Finn sought solace in alcohol after his father, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), died from heart failure due to ALS.

Finn knew his father’s time was limited, but he wasn’t ready to lose him. Losing his father broke Finn’s heart, and he started drinking heavily until finally, Finn realized he had let Violet down when she came home from school, and he was unresponsive. She thought he was dead.

Easton and Love shared a special bond that translated well onscreen.

“I have a daughter in real life, and Jophielle and I had this immediate connection,”

    Easton said.

“People said our relationship looked so natural, as if we’d known each other in past lives. I think Jophielle is going to do amazing things as an actress and singer.”

As for Easton and his career,

“I mean, I’m not done. I’ll be trying to find that right part, that next great storyline….I don’t know where it will come from,”

    he reflected.
