They are just doing their part to make the world a healthier and safer place to live, one jab at a time. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were on hand for the Global Citizen Live event to promote COVID-19 vaccine equality and yes, they certainly had a lot to say. Here’s what you need to know.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are continuing to speak out in favor for vaccine equality, which means they want to make sure that vaccines are available in all countries and to all people, all around the world. The couple, who also serve as chairs for Global Citizen, shared their messages during the Global Citizen Live event, which took place at Central Park in New York City over the weekend.
Here’s What Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Had To Say During Global Citizen Live Event
Harry kicked things off by saying, “Look at all of us here!” before asking, “Are we prepared to do what is necessary to end this pandemic?”
Meghan added, “It is so good to be back here with all of you. Look, we know that it feels like this pandemic has been going on forever. It is a lot and some people are just over it…There is so much that we can do today, now, that can get us closer to end their pandemic.”
“My wife and I believe the way you’re born should not dictate your ability to survive,” Harry said, while Meghan followed up with, “Especially when the treatments exist to keep you safe.”
Harry and Meghan are currently on the way back to California, where they will be reunited with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
